Did you click on the SAVE button on the bottom right of the window of Library Manager after adding library?

 

there isnt a save library buttons on that particular software... just adding the library

 

You have a SNPID conflict. Another NI product is using the SNPID for that library. Run the SNPID locator and check if that is the problem or you should update to version 6. 2.2

edit; On a different thread i explained that some people were having problems adding libreries in Kotakt 6 prior to version 6.1.1 which fixed those issues. (it does not apply to portable)

so my issue with the library has been sorted..
all i needed to do was update to the latest Kontakt 6.2.2 and i was able to add my library..

 

Also, just to point out that this alert will show anyway with libraries that aren't classed as libraries because they have no .nicnt file, but which will still be loadable via the .nki files.

 

I remember in another decade there were libraries with only .nkx and .nkc files in the library's main folder that acted as the .nicnt file nowadays. You could manage to add libraries without .nicnt.
So with a limited number of very old libraries it can be an issue on K6 (except portable) indeed.

 

Yup. For example SonicCouture's Broken Wurli still has this.

 

Hello! Need some help please. After adding them, some libraries loaded successfully but did not appear in Kontakt on restart. Check the SPIND and it is in use only with the corresponding library, and it is correct in the ncint and the xml file. Also check that it was not hidden. I am using version 6.2.2 on win 10. Greetings from Argentina. Thanks in advance.

 

try adding library with a portable Kontakt, preferably same version as your installed one.

reinstall add library.exe as administrator. those were key for me to run it smooth, but I only run portable now, feels cleaner and doesn't clog the registry

 

Thanks People ! esp. to @thepirate. Had the the same issue. got fixed by editing the SNPID Number using notepad++

 

can anyone help me out here. I could load the library successfully, however i cannot open any instrument. I checked various online forums but all I got was that that the SNPID should be different for different libraries and same for nicnt and its respective xml file - which In my case it definitely is. so im not sure what exactly the reason of the problem is. Please any help would be much appreciated!

same problem here (windows 10), for some time now, some of my librarys dont show the instruments, the menu are empty : /, some work but not a lot. i just install 6.4.2 portable from de 6.4.1, but nothing have change, any idea ?? [ATTACH = full] 22875 [/ ATTACH]

Portable is independent from your system's registry.
You need to add those libraries again, in the portable version with its Library Manager.

 

I solved my problem: I use icons to illustrate my folders. To make it efficient I gave them system properties, my problem was that the subfolders had the same system properties and kontakt for a reason that I don't know refuse to read in these subfolders who had those properties. So I removed its system properties from these subfolders and voila!!!! ^^

Yes, Broken Wurli can be added with a .nicnt file.

 

Which I tried, having added over 500 libs. It's the ONE lib I can't figure out.
But the point was:

Which implies it should add WITHOUT .nicnt file.
Yet now you are retreating with that??

So I must be dense of head, coz although I did see the .nkc and .nkx, I blindly went ahead, ignoring them, and made a .nicnt!
Like an actual idiot. I have never done that before in this circumstance with the old way of files.
I am sooo looking forward to logging off and playing it now! Yippee!
