Somebody needs to do a video comparing a Boss CE-2 pedal with the 'best' chorus plugins to find out what the differences are.

sometimes the cheapest chorus would work great on your material while even the most expensive one might be doesn't.

I use the chorus of Logic Pro X, it is simple and effective.
I agree with @Hooman.Leys, Sometimes the simplest with only 2 knobs are enough to achieve the best result.
I also use the first Synthorus from D16, it's a great chorus with a lot of creative presets.

I just discovered the updated version 2 and I really want to try it.
I really like D16, these are great plugins very often under rated.
I recommend you try them, you will be pleasantly surprised

The chorus on the Juno-60 I had many years ago.
None of the Roland stomp boxes came close.
It was so rich, especially the II setting.

I like Nembrini's stomp chorus and the Plugin Alliance Blue stomp. Otherwise I might go for SoundToys Echoboy or even an Eventide pitch shift or Abbey Road ADT.

I really don't have one beside my 35 year old Boss DC-2 pedal. Nothing in the box ever has given me the wood like that little blue pedal could muster for me. It was an integral part of my sound for over three decades. I really enjoyed using a friend's Juno 6 when it came out in the 80's, that chorus was cool, but one just couldn't plug a guitar into it, could one?

DDD by Sknote is fantastic, can't replace it with anything.
Recently got Excalibur as well. Really digging the sound, however the workflow is so-so at best.
