    Most of the songs published here are shabby.
    I wonder what brings us to love a song even if the message of the song is bland, the music is trivial, played badly, sung worse?
    My answer is that there is a connection between those sounds and the intense moments that we simultaneously experienced, the quality of the artistic gesture is irrelevant. A typical example to explain this concept is the famous soundtrack: if we love a movie, we will also love its soundtrack, if that album had never been in the movie and we had heard it randomly on the radio we would never have listened to it for more than 8sec.
    As a music producer this concept drives me crazy: established that the validity of a song is measured exclusively in a context in which it is found, what is the use of doing all the effort I do to try to make the perfect song?

    I agree and don't agree. For instance. I have a huge collection of film music.
    But i have not seen all those movies. But these are my favorite records.......:dunno:

    And also every song we like is connected to a feeling or moment in time. Music is emotion and association.
    The perfect song is something different for everybody else.:guru:

    I was kissing a nice young lady while this was beeing played one summer many years ago.
    My best friend, who collects reggae, used to play a lot of Wayne Wade. Anything but this one song. J:wink:
