I compared the compressor plugins yesterday and found Fabfilter Pro-C2 sounds kinda plastic. I tried every style, but it was not so impressive. Compared to Waves CLA-2A, the snare sounds too thin. It may good for electric music, but not acoustic ones.
Is it only me to feel that?

Of course there is a big difference between these two compressors. They are not meant for the same use.
The CLA 2A is modelled on a hardware tube compressor, which is frequency dependent, so it colours the sound.
The Pro C 2 is meant to be transparent.

They each have there use, they're complementary.

    it's your audio bruh bruh

you compared a clean compressor to one that affects the timbre/tonal response of your snare and didn't like the clean one. that's fine, but don't blame the clean compressor, both have their jobs.

Pro C-2 is more of a master compressor that you use when you already have achieved the sound that you want but need to compress further without changing the tone. Ofc it can be used on individual tracks also, but you get my point. CLA LA-2A is a comp you would use to help shape the tone of your track/instrument.

A and B this settings with waves cla- 2A default preset and you can literally hear null if you invert the phase of one of them (joking not really but pretty close )

zeyad is right, perhaps instead of blindly trying every mode you shouldve tried to recreate the sound with opto mode

lol. Your source audio is plastic, the LA2A just masked that.

What you wanted to say was "the cla-2a fixes one of my snares (it sounds a bit plastic without). is there a way to fix my snare when using the rather neutral fabfilter c2?".
