I have my samples organised on an external hard drive into folders that make sense to me, i.e. genre, makers, pack name etc.

I'm just wondering what systems you guys use within your DAW to manage and preview your samples without having to load externally to your DAW? Does anyone use something like ADSR's Sample Manager or Loopmasters' Loopcloud etc? Looking for an as automated way as possible for something so sort, tag and preview my samples with my DAW.

I tend to use Cubase Pro 10.5 as my main DAW, if that makes any difference.

 

Yes and I like it ,but i use the build in tools more often (Reaper, thanks to a well organized Folder structure no problem )

ADSR uses only the Names for information and tagging.(So Mistakes will happen )

Sononym is a way advanced . But tooks a lot of additional Space on a drive. (It creats indexfiles for faster searing with my 100 GB Samples it creats a 5 GB additional file .)
It analyses every file and searches for similar files .

 

I have an external wave browser. Resonic Player. It's great!
(I also use the built-in browser in Cubase, but I really like Resonic)

Studio One's own file browser is pretty enough to me. If no Studio One, I guess Resonic Player is the best choice.
