I've been demoing this compressor and it's an absolute dream. The sound and configurability seems unmatched, who else has had a chance to fool around with this bad boy?

Good sound, i like it too much.

About SPL Iron. Not too bad, also a good one. But two problems unsolved, users complain about "a lot of truncation and aliasing". So, digital audio artifacts still not solved there. As analog emulation - it is well-coded as an excellent analog-vintagey-mastering-grade unit, modern. Digitally - as a cheap/free/amateurish plugin from 90s or 00s with problems of aliasing and truncation (haven't seen so long that in any other modern plugin, this is first (except dithering plugins with truncate option, bitcrushers or so)). Hard-clipping is an upside-down version of truncation, for loudest parts only. Truncation - in most quietest parts. Smthng like that.

 

I haven't had a chance to check this one out yet, but I really like the Alpha master from Elysia by Brainworx

I bought it after a day or 2 demoing it. Really is great at everything and the color you get from that button is damn nice. I haven’t even got into all the fine tuning of it yet but for my main purpose of use it’s perfect. I also have a chameleon labs 7721 vca compressor and Sometimes I use unisum first choice.

 

I need to test this one out!

 

I wonder what the going rate is to get Bob Katz to say "best compressor ever" I will however download the demo. I mean, what if he's right?

 

Shadow Hills. the alpha. iron. you take the mega bundle - and you've got'em all... for the price 1 year less than buying just the unisum...

 

the days of seeing *anything* from PA on sister site are long gone, friend. Never again. Impossible. I know cx who come just to sister site to check to make sure they're not paying for nothing- the second it happens it'll get reported and DMCA'd

 

That's a great deal if you use all the plugins but personally I don't think I'd get my moneys worth

 

I've never known Bob to be for sale- although, things are tough all over!

 

Its Tone Projects... I still have their Legacy products .) which where amazing tools for their time a decade ago,and even now... I approve this compressor could care less about Bob Platz ... my ears tell me yes, and its a compressor tweakers wet dream

 

Bought it the day it was released lol. It's probably the best sounding compressor plugin.

 

I think I'm going to have to buy it too!
