Thanks, Phloopy. They aren't complete without the glaring hole from Heisermanaudio.com (some of the coolest out their like their U47). I wonder why!?

No one is perfect @Lois Lane :dunno:

But I think this database cover pretty much most - at least I have been lucky every time I have used the site :wink:

Thanks for pointing out Heisermanaudio.com - never heard of them :like:

Stam is not on the list either, but his microphones as well as his outboard gear hit above their price points...if one can deal with long waits and excuses on orders.
    https://stamaudio.com/

3U Audio mics are designed in Australia by a very talented designer and fabricated in China. Many of their LDC mics offer multi voicing and are fantastic fit the price. http://www.3uaudio.com/chanpin.asp?dh=1

Contact directly for the best prices, or price them at...

    Thanks @Lois Lane

Myself: I actually own mics from lom.audio and I agree they sell very speciel mics - all made by hand - Small firm etc -They are not on the list.

Perhaps the site focus on old major devs that we "all" know?!

Matthew McGlynn is the owner of RecordingHacks website. He also owns a relatively new microphone company called ROSWELL Microphones too!

Heiserman is known for his American made high-quality mic capsules. He also made (makes) capsules for STAM Audio mics. Heiserman also makes microphones too, however, check out the new mic company UNITED STUDIO TECHNOLOGIES if you're in the market for a U47 FET w/ a custom Heiserman capsule for ~$800, made in USA.

I can say 3U AUDIO mics are extremely good for the price. I think Kidvybes (r.i.p) did the detective work and found out that Guosheng Zhuang, owner of 3U, used to work? or design? mics for ADK. So, if you buy a GZ67 FET from him, you're basically getting a high-end ADK mic. Although, the GZ67 FET has been described as sounding closer to a NEUMANN m 269. The 3U Warbler series is no slouch either.

If you need a good first mic, start with 3U.
