    It's a synth. Kind of a bad half-assed plucky sound doubled with another bad half-assed analog bell-ish sound up top. Could be a lot of things, probably two layered but maybe not depending on the synth.

    It kind of does. Especially on those higher notes. Like a piano-harpsichord hybrid.

    It does sound like it could possibly be a synth. I disagree that it sounds bad, though. It does have an interesting "fake", and "synthetic" quality to it.
