    Pulling my hair out,

    I've done my research but I can't seem to get this figured out. I have Native Access installed along with a cracked version of Kontakt 6, and version Kontakt 5.6.0 (R46)

    I'm trying to add the Kontakt Factory Library using Kontakt 5 so it shows up in Kontakt 6 within my DAW but the Kontakt Factory Library.nicnt will not add or show in either version of Kontakt ‍♂️

    There was no xml file in the Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Center folder, so I created one using textedit and pasted the following from the nicnt file:

    <?xml version=
    until
    </ProductHints>

    Still no dice.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi.
    Okay, so firstly is the 5.6.0 cracked too?
    Secondly, are you aware that the lib doesn't need to show up in lib tab to be playable?
    My Factory Lib doesn't show in my lib tab either, but it's all playable.

    I'd say the problem is with your 5.6.0 version.
    So, what team did the 5.6.0 and 6 please?

    I have not seen the "Library" tab (past a casual glance when adding a new library of the first window) in forever.
    Quickload is where it's at. Organization is a breeze with QuickLoad.
    I never worry if "No library found" when scanning a new library folder.
    I just drag & drop using Kontakt's QL browser. (Open from menu or just Right-Click in the instrument area to toggle it.)

    Hey thanks for replying,

    The 5.6.0 is supposed to be cracked too, I don't know which team built them. They came together from from audio tools club. So I yesterday I got another cracked version from team Cashmere and still no luck.

    Issues in all versions unfortunately, I can't add library, or load an instrument. I get this error whenever I try to load an instrument:

    Thanks man,

    I tried the QL after you said it but that didn't work in any version either:

    O
    Oh yeah .. sorry, I was not commenting about libraries that fail to load,
    but only about what method I like to use for working with the libraries.

    It seems from your comments that you are not using Windows, so I have no experience to help with what versions work.

    to add libraries directlly in Kontakt 6 MAC:
    use terminal and paste this...
    Code:
    #!/bin/sh
    cd "$(dirname "$0")"
    #xml=$(basename "$file" .nicnt).xml
    xml=temp.xml
    find "$(pwd)" -name "*.nicnt" -type f | while read file
    do
    awk '/ProductHints/, $NF ~ /\/ProductHints/' "$file" |  xmllint --format --recover - > "$xml"
    plist="/Library/Preferences/com.native-instruments.$(xmllint --xpath 'string(//Name)' "$xml").plist"
    sudo rm "$plist"
    ContentDir=$(echo $(dirname "$file") | tr / :)
    sudo defaults write "$plist" ContentDir "${ContentDir#":"}:"
    echo
    for key in RegKey SNPID Name HU JDX UPID AuthSystem ; do
    if [[ "$(xmllint --xpath "string(//$key)" "$xml")" ]]
    then
    sudo defaults write "$plist" $key "$(xmllint --xpath "string(//$key)" "$xml")"
    fi
    done
    v=$(xmllint --xpath 'string(//ProductSpecific/Visibility)' "$xml")
    sudo defaults write "$plist" Visibility -int $v
    defaults read "$plist"
    done

    Yeah. But it just slow down Kontakt's indexing process the more you have in Quickload. In my experience, anyway. I have a few TB of libs.
    So my QL is for libs that aren't in the lIbrary Tab.

    Thanks, I just tried that.

    Got a list of Operation Not Permitted, or Operation Denied in the terminal.

    Still can't add libraries in Kontakt 6.

    You think it has anything to do with Native Access being installed?

    I didn't realize that it would slow down indexing....
    I have everything in there. (1.5 million files in 2.7 TB).
    Yeah it takes about 13 seconds each time I open it, and I found a recent post by someone asking if reindexing could be set to "manual" so it does not do it each time.

    Hello NI! Thank you for all the great work ver the years. I have a suggestion: have you thought of perhaps modifying the code fo Kontakt's quick-load so that it only reindexes when a button is pressed, rather than re-indexing every time kontakt is opened, which is how it's been for years? This way the end user can enjoy a nice zippy opening of the quick-load menus upon opening kontakt, and would only have to wait on re-indexing after changes or when a new library is installed. Right now it's "Load quick after waiting", which isn't very quick ;) rather than "Quick-Load"

    Cheers!

    Tom

    Well it is not too big a deal for me ... once it is opened things load quickly.
    I also found this comment by EvilDragon (seen his posts before- he seems very knowledgeable about Kontakt)
    I'm not actually sure how much Quickload impacts Kontakt's empty instance RAM usage - I know that the database definitely can impact it, especially if you have dozens of thousands of items in it. Database needs to be loaded into RAM, whereas Quickload is just filesystem access and doesn't necessarily need to be loaded into RAM (unless it's being cached)...

    sure, it use the Native Access files.
    no native access = no library added

    I finally got it to work, just in case anyone wants to know:

    I uninstalled Native Access. Kontakt 5 still wasn't working for me so I followed these instructions on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtErmxe_5Ao

    When adding an nicnt file in Kontakt 5, the open button was still greyed out. However, selecting the nicnt file and clicking the open button regardless still successfully added the library to Kontakt 5 and 6.
