This set of instructions for mac OS are courtesy of @TheTard based on instructions from @Fred Bloggs. All credit, thanks, glory, hatred, and curses should be directed to them. In this case, I am just a messenger.

STEP 1.
Unzip STEAM parts 1-15 using Keka and extract the ISO wherever you like.

STEP 2(a)
Mount (open) the ISO image and drag the Spectrasonics folder from inside the ISO to wherever you want it to live. This can be an external drive, but for convenience use the default location "~/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/STEAM"

STEP 2(b)
Use the application "BatChmod" to give write permission to your newly created Spectrasonics folder and all subfolders/files.

STEP 3 (optional)
Create an alias to the Spectrasonics Folder which should be placed at the location in STEP 2. if you have not placed the actual Spectrasonics folder there.

STEP 4
No step 4 on MacOS.

STEP 5
Unzip Step 5 archive (do not change the folder hierarchy!) and double-click the .pkg installer file. You will need an admin password to install, as usual. DO NOT start Omnisphere yet.

STEP 6(a)
1. Unzip Step 6 archive and run Keygen App.
2. Move the VST and AU plugins from "Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/(Components/VST)" to a new folder with write access.
3. PATCH the all the Omnisphere VST and AU plugins. Patch means click the "Patch" button in the keygen and direct it to the plugins; a dialog will open requiring you to point to the plugin you want to patch. The Keygen App will see the Mac plugin as just another folder. What you need to patch is inside the plugin; "plugin(seen as a folder)/Contents/MacOS/Omnisphere".
4. Move the plugins back into their respective folders; "Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/(Components/VST)".

STEP 6(b)
Run Omnisphere in the Applications folder. It may take a while to load the first time. Do not panic. Be patient, after a while the Omnisphere registration window will open and provide you with a Challenge Code.

STEP 6(c)
Copy and paste (using right-click!) the Challenge Code into the Keygen's Challenge Code window.

STEP 6(d)
Press the GENERATE button and copy the generated Response Code. You can right-click and choose "Copy" if you're doing this in the keygen on the Mac. It will copy to the Mac clipboard.

STEP 6(e)
Paste the copied Response Code into the Omnisphere's Response Code Line by pressing the Paste tab. After this operation the key generator is no longer is needed.

STEP 6(f)
Press the Continue tab and when the next window appears, quit the Omnisphere application.

STEP 7
Unzip Step 7 archive (do not change the folder hierarchy!) and run the Omnisphere 2 Data Updater.pkg (Soundsource update) in the Mac folder. Your admin password will be required.

STEP 8
Unzip Step 8 archive (do not change the folder hierarchy!) and run the Omnisphere Data Updater.pkg (Patch library update) in the Mac folder. Your admin password will be required.

STEP 9
Unzip Step 9 archive (do not change the folder hierarchy!) and run Bob Moog Tribute Patch Library.pkg (Bob.Moog.Tribute.Patch.Library.Update) in the Mac folder. Your admin password will be required.

STEP 10
Run Omnisphere. You should be good to go...

N.B. Software updates kill the crack, so yo have to go through step 6 again after an update.

But I have a problem with step 6. It says to move the VST and AU plugins, but if I check those folders they are empty! Do you have an idea what I do wrong?

 

If you go back to the release post you will find the file for Step 6, which is the KG.

I am sorry if I wasn't clear. I already got keyscape up and running but I am having trouble with Omnisphere.

I'm on mac and I've been out of this game for a while, but after you download all the parts you needed to, there should be an .rar or .zip file that will uncompress all the downloaded parts and leave you with a large ISO file. Don't think of the iso as being in one particular part. The whole thing needs to be uncompressed with an unarchiver first. Then you should see the ISO.

 

I unzipped all 15 files but I don't have any idea how to extract the ISO. I did unzipped each 001 file in the 15 files but no ISO file is showing up.

 

I just did this install yesterday. Are you using Keka?

I had a keygenapp that has been floating around for ages. it came in an old Future Dada torrent. You can use any wine emulator or Crossover as well. Gotta get batChmod to do the permissions. It's the easiest way at least. Click the correct boxes (maybe someone else here can help with that) as it took a few tries until it would write to the directory.

Omnisphere works perfectly for me. Keyscape also. Is there anything I should be cautious about? It's all fine and well helping people who can't get Omnisphere to work, but what about those of us who don't have a problem? It's biased. Bigoted. Elitist. Where's my damned thesaurus?

Thanks for understanding the needs of the unneeded. I decided to do a fresh install to make sure that this time I made a mistake and came across a recalcitrant .ISO file. Logic dictates this to be short for isosceles and almost always pertains to the geometric shape of the triangle. This type has two sides of equal measure. See! I told you I was smart. Well, google is anyway. There is a clear geometric link to the very word Omnisphere which is a sphere, everywhere! I'm onto something now. A two dimensional triangle won't help mount the file so I built a 3D model from balsa wood, pipe cleaners and glitter paint. Uh oh. I just had a thought. What if I should be looking for isobar. I'm going to need a meteorologist.

 

Hi there, new to installing big programs like omnisphere, but I've been running into the same issues the last few times I've tried to install this.

I have a 2014 Macbook pro with 10.14.6 Mojave as an OS and about 100 free GB to install omnisphere 2.


I've gone through the first step- to go through all 15 folders and to extract the fist file from each (the one that ends in like .7z.001). Afterwards, I got 15 .rar files, that i stuck in a new folder. I tried expanding the .rar files with keka, but I'm getting "error code 3". My Keka is the most up to date version (1.19.26), and I'm not really sure where to go from here. I believe once i am able to expand the .rar files, I'll have the necessary .iso files and the steam folder.

I think I'm just missing something pretty obvious, but if someone can PM me and help troubleshoot, I would be super appreciative. Totally open to sending screenshots or whichever way takes up less time for whoever can help me.
