    LVC-Meter 1.0.0

    -updated March 26, 2020-
    Meter: LVC style[IMG]
LVC-Meter is a free plugin that builds on all of the metering features of Toned-MAX, Limited-Z, and Clipped-MAX. This may be nothing new, but there might be times when you need the LVC style meters but not all of the other plugin features.

    Beyond Basic[IMG]
LVC-Meter includes a spectrum analyzer, stereo vectorscope, and a waveform history view. All of the meters utilize true-peak monitoring for determining intersample peak levels (i.e., “overs”). In addition, LVC-Meter functions in EBU mode, K-System metering, and standard dBFS mode.

    Just Because[IMG]
Why have a meter plugin that monitors stereo and true-peak levels without having the ability to adjust things? Good question, and LVC-Audio agrees. LVC-Meter includes three simple but valuable controls: GAIN, BALANCE, and WIDTH. Both the GAIN and BALANCE controls have extra fine settings accessible by right-clicking on the knobs. These extra settings allow for precise gain and balance adjustment. Perfect for a final gain stage.

    LVC-Meter
    • Adjustable true-peak level for visualizing overs
    • Resizable interface
    • User configurable colors
    • Configurable spectrum analyzer settings (e.g., window type, fft size, overlap)
    • FloatDither: 32-bit dithering based on Chris’s work at Airwindows (https://www.airwindows.com/ditherfloat/)
    • XML-based preset system for saving, importing, and exporting user presets

Audio Assault is offering a modern high gain amp simulator named Sigma (SI6MA) for free currently, I received an e-mail about it at something like half three this morning, This is the page, It requires an e-mail address:
    https://audioassault.mx/sigma.php

It is one channel and takes only minor tweaking (to taste) in order to get very useable sounds out of, You can also dial back
the gain and also dial back your guitar's volume pot where you should find it capable of a wider range of sounds than all-out brutal, aggressive modern metal-focused sounds.

The official demo which is on the page and the official YouTube channel:

I do not know how long it is available for free, Hope that it's useful to some.

FWIW, I have a good collection of real amp heads, combos, preamps, power amps and extension cabs plus a Kemper Profiling Amplifier, A Fractal Audio Systems AXE-FX III as well as other digital modelling amplifier pieces.
I do find the plugins from free to rather expensive that are available to be very good and they see plenty of use in my engineering and own personal work as nearly as much as multi-mic'd cabinet along with sending splitting the signal at a few places, first will be a totally clean DI signal, then I take a send (or preamp out if the piece of gear has such a feature) and send that to a few Two Notes devices and also a few to the awesome Mooer RADAR (which is basically a really price-friendly TORPEDO-like processor in a stompbox sized enclosure, IIRC they've released a newer, even small RADAR that is the size of the standard Xotic AC and BB pedals/the ultra-compact Dunlop/MXR enclosures), To me, it doesn't matter if something is meant to be aping a specific amplifier and does not manage to do so or if it not based upon any existing amplifier...So long as the plug-in offers good quality sounds, Works well with other amplifiers for layering/contrast and feels/responds like a decent real amp does. Obviously each persons MMV depending on many different things which can often be very subjective...Whatever sounds right/works is right for you regardless of the price the way I see and believe the whole area of real amps, modelling options, hybrid variants, The more options the better.

\m/ hails to all as always \m/

I've got that pedal. It's a really awesome little device. I'm using it with 3 Sigma's Taylor Acoustic Guitar IR's. It really puts a nice mic'd tone on a piezo pickup.
Still have yet to run a cab sim through it.
Wow, you can load your own IR's into the Sigma Amp. That's pretty nice!

Its all free for them to duplicate 0s and 1s they contracted someone else to write instantly and call that a "sale" as if i just bought a handmade tube amp off them

This thread is 58 pages i dont know how anyone would get the knowledge contained within but im sure REAPER cant be beat as a free DAW
That software is really amazing look at how quickly they develop stuff compared to ableton = slow as goddamn molasses

R2R probably dont have staff to pay

Yes, Ableton is aiming to destroy piracy by simply giving the suite edition away, you can simply change your emailaddress and get another 90 days free. Easier and more elegant then installing a bunch of cracks, messy updates and whatnot (selling your soul to the devil for free software sometimes)

It's a nice idea, but whilst there are those of us who make music to give others pleasure with no thought of making any money from it, R2R is the way to go.

I get that your way is free also but when they decide no more monthly trials, then what?

    What is Tunefish
Tunefish is a very tiny virtual analog synthesizer. It is developed to fit into about 10kb of compressed machine code while still producing an audio quality that can compete with commercial synthesizers. This site was created to make the VST/AU version of it available to the public. This plugin, unlike the version of TF which is used in 64k intros of our group Brain Control is of course larger, mainly because it has a UI and uses the excellent Juce framework for C++. (This is true for TF4 and TF3. TF2 uses the VSTGUI library.) The synth is free but comes without any warranties. It is tested on Renoise but if you want to use it with different DAWs, please do so and let us know about your experience. Tunefish is an ongoing project under active development so if you have any comments or wishes, please let us know. Also, if you make some music with it or create soundbanks you're more than welcome to share them with us or on the Tunefish page at KVR Audio.

    Tunefish v4
Tunefish v4 was developed as a smaller replacement of Tunefish v3 with roughly the same power. It was developed for our intro Turtles all the way down which forced us to rethink how to most effectively produce music in very tight machine code. Read more about it here. The result was totally worth it and some might argue it is even more powerful. To open it up to a broader range of people, it was also ported over to Linux and MacOS and it was given a new polished UI.

    Features
    • Available on Windows and Linux as VST (32 and 64 bit) and on Mac as Audio Unit or VST
    • Improved UI compared to TF3 which will visualize all modulations
    • Uses an additive synthesis based wavetable generator
    • The Noise generator can produce any frequency of noise with any bandwidth
    • Lowpass, Highpass, Bandpass and an improved Notch filter are available
    • 2 ADSRs and 2 LFOs that can be linked to pretty much any important knob using a modulation matrix
    • Supported effects are Flanger, Chorus, Distortion, Delay, Reverb, EQ and Formant
    • The effects stack allows for any permutation of up to 10 effects
    Tunefish v3
Tunefish v3 was done because quite frankly, Tunefish v2 was a mess code-wise and I learned a lot during the development of it. I wanted to try out a new idea of mine which was using splines for implementing an oscillator. One piece of code which can still produce the same sounds as a range of oscillators in v2. It was first used in our intro Pandora. Additionally to that I wanted to get away from the VSTGui library which I did not really like at that time and instead used the Qt framework and later on migrated to Juce.

    Features
    • It's implemented as a VST instrument
    • It uses a spline based oscillator that can by configured very dynamically.
    • Additionally to normal sine, sawtooth, triangle and pulse waveforms, it can do anything that is possible with 6 points and step/linear/spline interpolation.
    • The Noise generator can produce any frequency of noise with any bandwidth
    • Lowpass, Highpass, Bandpass and Notch filters are available
    • 2 ADSRs and 2 LFOs that can be linked to pretty much any important knob using a modulation matrix
    • Supported effects are Flanger, Chorus, Distortion, Delay, Reverb, EQ and Formant
    • The effects stack allows for any permutation of up to 10 effects
    Tunefish v2
Tunefish v2 is the first synth that I developed that you could call a synth that "makes sense". v1 was messy and I was learning synthesis concepts at that time. Additionally to that v2 is the first one that is implemented as a VST plugin using the VSTGui library. This is the reason why v1 never made it on this page. It had to be used "manually" and what this means is basically you had to hardcode your patches in the sourcecode. Yes, you read that right. Yes, I was stupid back then. The final Tunefish v2 was first used in our intro A daily dose of random. Horrible visuals but quite a nice sound. To get an idea of what v1 sounded like check out the first and only intro that was made with v1, The Icemachine.

    Features
    • It's implemented as a VST instrument
    • Oscillators are sine, sawtooth, triangle and pulse waveforms
    • Noise generator
    • Lowpass, Highpass, Bandpass and Notch filters are available
    • 4 ADSRs and 4 LFOs that can be linked to certain parameters
    • Supported effects are Flanger, Chorus, Distortion, Delay, Reverb, EQ and Formant
    Who we are
Tunefish is a project of demoscene group Brain Control. It was originally developed to acompany real time 3d animations with music, which are then presented at computer art festivals called demoparties. For more information about us visit our website.

    Please donate
If you like Tunefish then please consider donating. Development of tunefish costs mainly time however there is also some money involved for paying software licenses and webserver. Any amount of money is appreciated and will go directly into further development of the synth.
