So this has become a humour thread. I don't like to laugh. I find it depressing. I like blues because it makes me happy. I enjoy people singing about misery.
But here's my final say on the topic. I have written many songs. It doesn't happen quickly. I start with an idea, usually a poor one. Then I let my imagination lead me. Most is rubbish, but some of the random ideas surprise me. I keep them. Then at some point I have enough pieces of a puzzle to form a coherent unified message. I work on these to make a song. Did I know beforehand every detail of how it would sound? No. Am I pleasantly surpris3d by the outcome? Yes. Do I feel that it's randomness makes it any less my creation? No.

 

That's very well said. Besides, the OP only responds to comments that suit him: When I asked him to show some works composed with the ❝meticulous effort❞ he deems desirable, he simply didn't respond. As always, just another fTRoLLster's pure post-modernist internet trolling post. It's all about postmodern nonsense humor disguised by educational interest ('cos irony, parody, and humor are the only positions critique or revision cannot overturn).

i love this foster character. he reminds me that we can just talk friendly shit sometimes and its okay. it doesnt have to have some profound outcome, it can just be nonsense.
if @Nought is actually foster then, at least with this profile, i made sense in the things he was saying, you just need to read carefully. but even if it was pure nonsense i am still always up for talking shit :D

well, I make music as I listen to something that I like, tries to reproduce it and adquire the knowledge about how to do it, in most of the cases I produce what most people are searching just for, just to get some $$, but that's pretty much it, is this random?

HAHA when I first saw the preview image I knew right away who that was. Dan's an old friend of mine from way back when I lived up in Ventura. First met him at Cal Arts ages ago, one of my best friends still plays guitars in a bunch of his weirdo jazz projects.
