I have an automation on a filter knob.........

I basically drew in an ADSR thing per note

but i want a second automation on the same filter knob to create slow movement from beginning to end (as it also makes the movement mentioned above)

basically, is automation for the same knob two times possible?

You can automate filter ADSR individually (all four parameters) as well as amount/range on the envelope filter used.
That way the filter cutoff automation can still be left as it is.

Yeah, I just replied to your request. You can go as easy or as crazy as you want with the automation.

if you can get away with using built in ADSR and LFOs in the plugin then use those.
i dont know what filter you are using, but with fabfilter volcano (and MANY others) i would send MIDI gates from the source MIDI signal to the filter, then use that for the ADSR (rather than draw it into automation), then use a built in LFO to control the same parameter from within the plugin. no automation should be needed at all for that.
or you could use automation for one of those mods and control the other one from within the plugin.

    just some extra info:
it is worth knowing how you want to sum the mod sources before starting. A+B gives a very different result to A*B, for example.

do you not have programmable macro assignment n control?

If so then assign whatever you want to one macro, then to another.
And so onn n so on.
Then automate it as you wish,

Though id probably use a different automation lane for each particular thing i wanna control and resample it as i go along,

but keep n disable the initial track n plugin data so you can switch the pattern n automation out at will

Two hands on the same knob at the same time doesn't work...

I would suggest a filter like the Drop by Cytomic.
Ik has a HP and LP filter which you can modulate separately, so you could put a slow sweeping LFO on the high pass, and go funky at the same time, using step sequencing or the envelopes to modulate the LP filter.
