@Trurl You probably know the album by Pat Metheny called "Bright size life". Unfortunately I could not find any Youtube link about it, the full album I mean. But I just found this link from 1974

 

Yes indeed... whoa, never saw that video! Pat was my gateway from prog and fusion into what could be (more or less) considered "real" jazz... and eventually back into Miles and Trane and Mingus and Peterson and all that good stuff. I still wouldn't say I'm a huge jazz fan, or super well versed, but at least I know the highlights...
