Got my eye on UAD - Arrow - Audio-interface .

I'd be using it on a Hackintosh - platform .

    (It's a Thunderbolt 3 - interface .)

    Wonder if it'd be compatible with a mobo such as ;

    https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z390-A-PRO

    I'm drooling after UAD's Luna - DAW - Soft also ...
Wonder if it'd work also ?

    Nice interface but...overly expensive.

Luna software is buggy on the more expensive interfaces. Would hold off or look at MOTU or Audient.

Gigabyte mobos offer the best compatibility with hackintosh, also Thunderbolt usually works oob with their motherboards, that being said, if you're current mobo does have TB compatibility, it will most likely work, if you plan on adding a thunderbolt pcie card, and it is compatible with your mobo, check About This Mac>System Report>Thunderbolt, if it is detected 90% will work.

Getting thunderbolt to work properly on a Hackintosh is kind of the holy grail. How techsavy are you?

Gigabyte Z390 Designare is your best shot for thunderbolt on Hackintosh.

I read somewhere you need to run a driver on Windows, to have Thunderbolt recognised on Hackintosh, I guess if using the add-on cart.

yepp something like that. I have the EFI file for this build:

    Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S
Memory: HyperX Predator Black 64GB kit 3600MHz DDR4 CL17 DIMM XMP Memory (HX436C17PB3K4/64)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon VII 16GB HBM2 HDMI/ Triple DP (UEFI) PCI-E Graphics Card
    or
GPU: ASUS GT 710 1GB DDR3 64Bit Dual Slot, Passive Low Profile Graphics Cards 710-1-SL-BRK
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G3, 80 Plus Gold 750W, Fully Modular
SSD: Samsung 970 PRO Series - 1TB PCIe NVMe (upgrade firmware in Windows first)

ASUS XG-C100C PCI-E Network Interface Card (10GB network card)

I don't know if I ever gonna build it. Time will tell I guess. I'm pleased with Windows so if I choose to build it, it will be just for the fun of it.

Niceee! Can you please tell me what do you mean "upgrade firmware in Windows first"?
I'm about to assemble new build in 2-3 weeks, and the plan was to install Windows on this SSD straight away :dunno:

I'm pretty sure you have to upgrade the firmware first or it does not boot in a Hackintosh. Just upgrade the firmware while your in Windows and it's done.
What OS build are you going for? If I was going to build today I would have chosen macOS 10.14.6 Mojave

Oh right, sorry mate! I'm not going to Hackintosh yet - Windows 10 first and think installing Mojave or Catalina later.

Anyway, Samsung NVMe SSD comes with factory firmware to install Win 10 right away. But thanks for the heads up about Hackintosh tips
