Holy shizzle this is a BIG update. They just told Image Line to go back to the cuck shed. $199 gets you an insane amount of stuff.

Seriosly.. I am having no compatability issues. I run 64bit apps. I dont understand people hanging out. If there were big issues, then fine. But My MBP is cracking along beautifully.

former logic user here, I dunno why logic keep those ugly and uncomfortable GUI all these years, I would say that's the main reason I switch to live, but thanks ,they finally replaced EXS24 in 2020.

    Me too. But w
hen each instrument has sometimes 30-50 articualtions in an orchestra. Multiply that times the number of instruments & then you can imagine the absolute headache it creates... Each articulation would have to have its one lane for each CC....

I am glad that you are not having issues, but many others have, including many software manufacturers. I am not upgrading unless absolutely necessary.

it look like a Ras3 issue on Native instruments products.

  10. Dude seems unaware that a Mac shares the same components as a PC. Why he thinks a Mac isn't a "real" computer is either ignorance, stupidity or an inflated sense of self importance that he is smarter because he uses a PC, which boots into windows and he double clicks to open his DAW.... just like you do with a Mac. Why does that make it a superior piece of equipment?

We get it, you don’t like Apple/Mac. Time to quit trolling in the Logic forum, your strong arguments have surely convinced many of us to convert already.

I don't care much about the Ableton live bite that's included, because I am not a loop kiddie!

But I do care about the Quick Sampler for chopping samples easy and Step Editor for controlling Maschine.

I immediately tested Machine Plugin in conjunction with the Step-Sequencer – works (almost) out the box. You can input events in the Grid and Mmachine will play them back. But you have to do some initial steps first:

    1. Load a Group
    2. Set MIDI Batch Settings for that Group to "Sounds to MIDI Notes"
    3. In MIDI Input settings for the Group change it to "Drumkit"
    4. To Create more lanes in the Step Editor Highlight a lane and press CMD+D
    5. The assigned MIDI note of the First lane should trigger C2 for Pad 1, C#2 for Pad 2 and so on

But there's more to routing MIDI and Audio from Maschine into Logic which I won't go into detail now because it can be a real pain in the ass.

Didn't show up for me either. Just search Logic and hit the download button. I've skipped Mojave and went from High Sierra straight to catalina and the system feels a lot more snappier. Benchmarks are higher as well on my hackintosh.

    which please, source
that the apple way to force people to but a new Mac or built a Hackintosh

Maybe that's why it is unsupported :)

Matter of taste, I love the GUI look and feel, much cleaner and smother than studio one.

I love the new Sampler features but I miss individual Amp, Filter etc in the slicer

Now Logic only needs a control surface which works as tight as a faderport with studio one.

Installed and working  The problem with Catalina is mostly related to developers that can't keep up. With each OS upgrade that's definitely the most annoying part.

I’m no logic power user but they have finally addressed the one thing I think needed fixing. The awful exs sampler.
All in all logic x already was a very complete product and is probably the only product Apple sells that is good value for money.
The downside is you have to buy a Mac, which at the moment in the United kingdom Is extremely expensive. Make that unreasonably expensive.
I have just migrated to a windows 10 pc which I built, and it unquestionably slaughters equivalent priced macs. Windows 10 Is definitely not perfect by any means but for the enormous price difference i’m very happy.
I might update logic x and have look at it on my old MacBook, i’m sure it will be an excellent product. But i’m moving on
