You know, you don't have to use these features. Logic looks like before.

Is it now possible to have individual envelopes for theses "chromatic samples" or still one like EXS ?

im still on high sierra, since i last checked there was no real reasons to update to mojave and i was scared that some plugins wouldnt work . is there a list anywhere or could anybody be so kind to tell me what i would lose updating ?
also can anyone confirm that there is still not a plugin search function? this seems so stupid.... these guys https://speakerfood.com/pages/plugsearch-product-page
made a fix for it but the problem is that it doesnt work if you want to change an already existing plugin with another one, you need to delete it and open a new one from scratch .

    thanks!!!

Semi-jealous of Logic users. On a surface level it just looks like a really complete package.

For fuck sake Apple, condense MIDI automation to single lanes when using articulations. I just switched to Cubase 3 wks ago and was hoping this update would lure me back in, but nah...

I do most of my midi hardware and software instruments by Cubase 10.5 pro, I'm evaluating after a big surprise check in a studio friend, Studio One...give a try :)

Best thing is clone your Os and test it directly!
    I've done it this way:
    1) New partition on SSD
    2) Cloned El Cap with Carbon Copy Cloner
    3) Install/update-d Mojave 10.14.6 on it (DOSDUDE1 patch)
    4) Installed LPX 10.4.8
And my old plugins seem to run fine (one major glitch apart)

Of course before experimenting make a backup of everything

Hmz, it's not (yet) showing up at my App Store Updates.
Anyway, besides all these fancy improvements (which I probably won't use for now), I really hope that they fixed a lot of bugs first!
With each update Logic became more and more unstable.
Luckily Mojave is still approved because Catalina is a real pain in the *** (tried it a few weeks ago but had to go back due to a lot of issues)
At the end, Logic is for me still the best DAW.

I’m not worried about performance but rather compatibility. I have software I use for work that’s outdated and unsupported on Mojave. I’d also lose ublock origin in Safari unfortunately but that’s not a dealbreaker. Either way, I’ll be weighing my options and seeing how to make this work since I’m very interested in this update.

Very sad -- I gather they still haven't added support to send MIDI to audio tracks or MIDI out from effects plugins. Something literally *EVERY* other real DAW has. And the reason I have been transitioning to Cubase.

I almost bought Serato Sample when it was discounted recently but then the picture for 10.5 leaked and I decided to wait and see if Logic would include a new sampler. It looks like what a lot of us were hoping for and I really like that they included a quick version.
