On these conditions I´d prefer 10 well build acoustic instruments of my own choice:

    -Cello
    -Viola
    -Violin
    -Classic guitar
    -Wooden flute
    -Bouzouqi
    -Bawu
    -Uilleann pipes
    -Trumpet
    -Oboe

yea i have to agree. i thought about it and you can use it in the exact same way as a plugin, so i will accept it.
oh by the way, i forgot to tell everybody i am self proclaiming as the judge for this thing :hahaha:

    edit:
    better than this!
    you are banned!

NO aspirin. If you cut yourself deeply in the wrong place you'll likely bleed to death from just taking one and not ever be able to enjoy the 10 plugins that you brought with you. For instance (in this extreme case), if you brought along your personal emergency appendectomy kit in the event of an infection and near burst, you will have bled to death before you can say "Gee wilikers, that fucking hurts" and then bleed out on that perfect white sand of your enchantingly beautiful island studio isolation beach.

The cool thing about having a desert island for a studio is that you don't need any sound absorbtion or refractive surfaces to tune your room if you set up your monitors in the plein air of the beach. There will be no reflections at all and you'll finally hear what your speakers can do cranked up in all of their glory. Your mix will appreciate it.

I get the sentiment but in this case it would cover a lot of ground. And it gives you the shell for Keyscape which is indispensable ;-)

i had the same reaction to omnisphere. my computer is old and storage is quite low at the moment, so having omnisphere was like having bloatware on my computer. what it can do is not good enough to warrant the huge size for me.

have to completely disagree with the avenger comment though. although my computer cant run it very well at the moment, so i have uninstalled it, i LOVED using it and i will be reinstalling it once i upgrade

This little test shows us some things.
We are all different, the proof, no one has chosen the same thing.

The way we consume plugins reflects the way we consume in our daily lives.
Finally, the time spent trying, buying, negotiating, convincing, either yourself or others, that this plugin is the best, always takes us a little further from the end goal... Make music!

    Maybe not! :dunno:

Having access to all these plugins, exchanging our knowledge are also beneficial for developing creativity.
We are all different, and it's so much better!

BTW, titz ( @( . ) ( . ) ) , this is my original avatar since the beginning. The latter I didn't found after the Billie Eilish avatar joke. Laziness wins...

For starters, Youlean is free and efficient. There's no need to look at too many things. For my workflow, it's fast on the eyes. As for the Stealth Limiter, well, it's the most transparent limiter I've used even when you slam it hard. 16x oversampling makes sure your peaks won't go past it if your system can handle so much drain. At 4x I'm more than ok.

Voltage Modular (Funny thing mostly for the VST Host :winker:) (Just tried some Karpus Strong With MDelay (Thankfully it goes below 0,9 ms))
MXXX (100+ in One :disco: including MDrums and Mfactory)(Mfactory is more than enough Synth to do nearly everything.)
(Till now more than enough for crazy stuff )

    But to fill my Boot
    Reaktor (DIY for everything )
Blue Cat Axiom (1 Guitar Sim is good)
Helix (2 Guitar Sims are better :winker:)
Falcon (Totally need a good Sampler with granular features everything else after here is nice to have.)
Synthmaster 3(..... will come soon when not 2.9.x is still nice to have)
Maschine with as much Expansion Packs I can take. (And Even more if I can take the Controller with MK3 of course )
    Zebra 2
Kontakt/Omnispere (Kontakt if fully loaded ,Omni if not)

And for everyone who picked VPS Avenger (I believe I saw no one.)
Poor Choose after 3 Months you can't use it :bleh: DRM

Unsure if it's 10 plugins or instruments. I'll rattle off both.

    Plugins:

    McDSP AC101/202
    DMG Audio TrackControl
    DMG Audio Equilibrium
    PSPaudioware E27
    DMG Audio Compassion
    Dangerous Music BAX EQ
    SPL Transient Designer
    Wavesfactory Spectre
    Inphonik/Mathieu Demange RX950
    Exponential Audio Phoenix Reverb
(...and flip a coin: Voxengo's Elephant or DMG Audio's Limitless as an 11, ya'know, if I have to make my crap island-radio-ready. )

    Instruments:

(I feel just saying "Kontakt" is cheating, since there are forty-six million, five hundred and eight-two libraries that are available, so I counted libraries as plugins instead of Kontakt, which is actually a host...)

Kontakt (I get my keyboard, right?)
Orange Tree Samples Evolution Flatwound Bass
    PurgatoryCreek Soundware Mark I
    Gospel Musicians Neo Soul Keys
    AIR Music Tech DB-33
    Chris Hein Solo Strings
    Chris Hein Horns
    Imperfect Samples Braunschweig Upright (sp?)
    Imperfect Samples Walnut Grand
Maschine (I get my hardware, right?)
    u-he Diva

It's a tough choice, but at least it wasn't some ridiculous "Top 3" list, as there are more than three utilitarian plugins, alone.:guru:

Gospel. An island, complete solitude, and ten instruments of my choosing? I was about to say that that would be a vast improvement on my current station in life but, in all honesty, that sounds more like heaven.

I don't get the hype over Omnisphere, what's so great about having 14'000 generic sounds that everyone else is playing at your fingertips? Also most of them are not so well suited for an "immediate use" in electronic music, meaning you have to spend weeks on design - which btw is not very straightforward vs. any other synth I have used. Then you have the 3rd party banks maybe they sound better but again it's too much work for little reward but that's just my take. Looks like the poor man's resort.
