What aspect in a transient makes it knock compared to another sound?

    Hi guys,
    I know there is a simple fast pitch shifting technique to produce transient.
    What I don't really fully understand is what aspect in one transient makes it contain more energy than another?
    Like when I separate different drum sounds transient parts. One transient feels stronger and full than the other.
    What is it that makes one transient so powerful?
    How to beef up transient? what's your recommendations?
    Somebody explain please.
