^ the only thing imho that does not fit the track well is the whistle type sound between @1.15-1.28

@JTSD nice track! I just think the vocals have too much sibilance (use a multiband compressor). Overall very good!

I have feeling that vox is offbeat... and because of that, there is some strange dissonance that ruins the feel of vocal flowing through song.
You should try to set vocal to start between 31st and 32nd seconds. That should do the trick. Other than that, an interesting piece! :D keep up the work!

 

I second that 100%. It will alWith that said, it is the only flaw that I find. @JTSD This is a beautiful track. Thanks for sharing it with all of us.

Edit: I dont think that the fix is going to be as easy as moving the vocals forward. Her phrasing is very unique. To fix it, I will edit the vocals in Melodyne, and give them a Soothe treatment. I will volunteer to do it if you need help with it. As I said, it is a beautiful track.

You may be right, but the start point would be to move the starting position of the vocal to "catch the beat".
Further, the idea with Melodyne is spot on!

EDIT: you are 100% right, just played it with guitar and singing along...

Of course. " Catch the beat." Are you a DJ? On my DJ days 40 + years ago that was phrase we used often.

 

I'm a bass player, and the beat is my second name...
