I managed to get the Sugarbytes from the most recent post on the sista site installed on Catalina using Pacifist. I manually installed the plugs show up authorised as Standalone VST & AU after manual input of the serial numbers, but I cannot get the presets to show up?.. It just says Default?
I have them in two places

Documents/Sugar Bytes/Obscurium
and
Applications/Sugar Bytes/Obscurium

(the same configeration for all the sugarbytes applications...)
I just cant get the presets to show up? It just says "default" Any Idea's would be appreciated

 

As far as I see, the Documents/Sugar Bytes/Obsurium path is probably it. Remember that sometimes there are lots of preset folders in there as well as a Presets folder...
I don't have that particular plugin, so I can't help with that.

Other places you haven't mentioned are:
Library/Application Support/Sugar Bytes, for the NKS presets. So probably not that one.
But also Users/Library/Audio/Presets/Sugar Bytes/NameOfPlugin/? , where mine are empty, so I reckon that's for user presets.
Maybe try dropping them in there?
Remember that the User library is hidden, so you hold down alt and click on Go in Finder to reveal it.
edit: it won't be the Applications/Sugar Bytes, because that seems to be just for standalones and the manuals.

Thanks mate, I tried that out however I still got the problem, its a litte perplexing???

 

I've just downloaded it so I can see what's what!
I guess you had to use Pacifist because the installer wasn't Catalina friendly, or what?

So, it seems you may have found something.
It was successfully validated and added to Logic, and is checked in Plugin Manager, but it doesn't show up for me in my Sugar Bytes drop down!
Not on audio or instrument tracks.
IF it shows and opens up for you in your daw, I'd suggest saving a preset to create the folder.
But no presets were installed for me upon installation! Just the plugin.
So strange.
Does it at least show up in your daw?

 

I've got Obscurium installed on a Catalina iMac using the installer. Shows up in Logic ProX as an instrument and presets are fine. Sorry I don't have a solution to your problem, just wanted to let you know it can be done, and that the standard installer works.

The Installer just keeps saying it had failed. Did you just install it as normal? Also could you tell me definitivly where the presets live? I have the plug ins installed but cant get the presets to show up? Thanks

And inside that should be 4 folders: Assignments, CC Maps Midi In, CC Maps Midi Out, and Presets.

 

OK Strange. I reinstalled and this time the installer worked and saw the seriasl numberrs I entered manually?? Thanks for your help..

 

That's funny! That's what I did, reinstall, and the installer remembered the first serial.
