there are basically no reviews because its pretty expensive and no youtuber wants to appear as if they use cracked plugins , and I would like to hear your thoughts

The Maat plugins are not bad, but not worth the processor load.

Maat plugins are made for mastering purposes. Not for mixing in first place.
Of course you can use them in a mix session as well, but they will become a bit cpu rog like Sinus Well said, but any other good linear phase EQ does the same in a mixing scenario.
For mastering they are ok about cpu load.

Did anyone of you compare the CPU load, best to a free plugin so we can easily compare it for our systems?

I haven't tried them (yet), but am wondering how they compare to Ozone for mastering. So many freaking options out there, it's a wonder I'm not committed to an asylum.

Shit no one's ever heard or used? Have you heard of Algorithmix’s legendary original 32bit Linear Phase PEQ Orange? This Maat is a precise redo in 64 bit format. Many mixers heard of it and used it, but you don't. Because nobody heard of you. And no one cares about your stupid reason toy.

When I heard the hype I read Maat's site and I was shocked. I'm a beginner producing music but I have a pretty decent technical background. What I made of the reading is that Maat's plugins philosophy is all-out faithful and accurate emulations. With emphasis on accuracy. To the point I highly doubt they're necessary compared to other high-quality alternatives. Resource usage is kind of lost on the priorities list.

You're this forum's official benchmarker. We are waiting for your work, thanks in advance.

If you have to use a free baseline, use the top of the top, like TDR/Nova.

    1. algorithmix plugins had their place, because they were among the first plugins that made linearphase possible without 10k hardware. This made linear phase "affordable". That's all there is to the reputation. This "legendary" blah blah is just PR.

    2. there are no precise 64bit ports. And Friedemann claims, as far as I know, nothing of the sort.

    3. from a purely DSP-technical point of view, the maat plugins are outdated. This is one of the reasons for the high CPU consumption. This has no measurable influence on the sound material, compared to other LP-EQs.

    4. i find the sonographic representation of the frequency spectrum excellent. But I still don't think it is worth 1k. I prefer to spend my money on gear... or slutz.
But hey, everybody has different preferences.

    5. Reason is not a toy.

When you free base, there is no line.
It is unhelpful to free base when benchmarking anyway.
Save it for after you are done.

Say @Gyorgy Ligeti , did you register here in the forum just to disagree with my posts? :hahaha:
I mean, it's everyone's right to object to my testimony... but only if there's something to object to. That's not the case here. So what exactly are you disagreeing with?

Simple. I disagree on any of the first 3 points. I have no right to do this? I understand that you are probably not used to receiving criticism, but it is simply my opinion, obviously I have nothing against you.
