i want to install a bunch of the old plugins i used to use but they are mostly 32bit and i am now limited to 64bit with my current setup.
i have tried jbridge and for some reason it does not want to work for long without crashing studio one.
can anybody recommend alternatives to jbridge? resources are low but i only need to be able to run 32bit VSTs in a 64bit host.

    edit: using windows 10

    thanks folks <3

Use Jbridge unless there's no alternative.
Just recently I saw in AZ a modified version of some JBridge's files that claims to improve compatibility. Why don't you check it out?

there is another one (still live on sistersite)
    https://ddmf.eu/bridgewize/

but it worked terribly compared to jbridge for me (not studio one tho)

Have you tried running studione as admin?

not a lot of info on it, and a lot of concerned people with not many people coming back saying it checks out. i think i will leave it for now and see what happens with it.

unfortunately there is no alternative right now :( jbridge just keeps crashing.

i just searched jbridge and found it at the top.
if you include "for work better" in your search it should return only that.
if you try it let me know how it works out. do you have problems too?

    thanks, i will try that.
for some reason it rings a bell, maybe i have tried it, but i will try anyway and see how it goes, thanks.

no, i didnt even think to try S1 as admin, i will try that too, thanks. it does run okay initially though, but randomly crashes the project a little while after it was loaded.
i havent tested extensively yet though, i should do that too.

Yes. I'm having issues just on one laptop. Win10, Cakewalk. No problems at all on several other pcs with similar configurations; a conflict could be any dang thing.

I believe 32Lives is Mac-only ... so long as you have a Mac, it's not a problem. However, if you DO have a Mac, your best bet and a piece of advice you probably won't hear from most people: get rid of those fucking 32-bit plugs. Find alternatives. Even if you don't plan on upgrading to Catalina, where all your 32-bit software will magically disappear (and no, 32Lives doesn't work in Catalina, either), the ol' 32-bit stuff is going to start behaving buggy as fuck the more recent your operating system is. I'm extra=screwed in this regard, because the driver for my Mbox 3 Pro is 32-bit, and as Avid is even worse at forced obsolescence than Apple is, there will be no further driver support (as of March, where Avid declared it "EOL" or "end of life"). I'll end up having to buy a different audio interface just to get 64-bit support, and my mint-condition Mbox 3 Pro will become the world's most expensive doorstop.

    32Lives isn't too good now, that's why I didn't mention it!
And that's why I kept a bootable clone of older OSs with certain plugins!

it is not really the end of the world if i cant use these plugins. there are alternative methods, but there are some gems in the 32bit world that were never really popular enough to move forward into the modern times.
i still have all the .dlls and installers, but just cant use them on my current setup :'(
