Thank you for the work of everyone here and I hope that everyone is keeping safe. I an trying to sort out and clean my libraries up Kontakt wise during this lockdown and I have a quick question regarding wallpapers in Kontakt 6 on OSX. About 95% of them work fine but on the rest, I am getting a miniaturised version repeated X3 in the window despite doing the same thing as the other 95%. I know that it is just cosmetic but I would please like any tips or hints so that I can get them to be all the same size - again, thank you & stay safe everyone!

Are the dimensions of the wallpaper file(s) for the problem libraries the same as the ones that work?

 

Thank you for replying. To be honest, I am assuming so but I don't know - they are just the ones from on here but it does like as though they might be too small and so it is repeating the image to fill the space. How can I change the size so it fits correctly and what software would I use?

That' s never happened to me once (yet) and I have over 600 Kontakt libraries... of which 595 were from the sister site!!!!!

new guy question...I have some libraries that have .png wallpapers that dont show but others with ncint wallpapers that do show up. If the file has to be ncint whats the purpose of the png files or can i get those to work somehow? Thanks

 

When you say that "...some libraries that have .png wallpapers that don't show..." do you mean the library itself does not appear or the wallpaper does not appear?

The .nicnt files are necessary for the library to be properly defined. Some .nicnt files have the wallpaper embedded within them. Some do not. In either case, even if the .nicnt file has an embedded wallpaper image, you can "override" that with your own wallpaper by providing a wallpaper.png file in the same folder. Note that the file must be named "wallpaper.png" although I think other file extensions may work. Regardless, it must be lowercase. If the .nicnt file does not have an embedded wallpaper image then you would have to provide a wallpaper.png file of course.
