Looking for more options for using soft synths outside of a DAW. Been jamming live with more hardware recently, and having Kontakt or a few other options integrate really well.

Some of the Korg plugs work well and the Arturia Collection too, bummer that Spire or Dune doesn't have standalone options...what else is useful?

So you are wanting to work outside a DAW but still in a computer, correct? What would be the advantages?

you could use a VST host. its not quite standalone but works just the same, sometimes better. you can get simple ones that only host the plugin and let you load up fast and jam, or you can get ones that allow complex routing of instruments and effects and allow extremely flexible control of MIDI data. of course, the more complex you get the more you could just load it into a DAW for the same results.
