I'm running a w10 LTSC system with a key bought on eBay for 4$. So far, so good. System runs super smooth and although some things don't work quite as well as w7 (upscaling things to 125% because my eyesight sucks, for example) it does the job.

Cheers for all the replies folks. ;)

Hiya! Sorry I missed your post, been enjoying the loveliness of my 3700X, only playing games tbh. I'm drowning in a pile of cheap games. Hope all is good with you!

On x570 motherboard, yes, budget kinda dictated. And I suppose I'm a bit tired of trying to know all the things I need to to maximise everything. Oh well. I grabbed an MSI Gaming Plus, 6x SATA was main consideration, I guess. And I still need more. :D I really don't have any specialist demands so.........

Very pleased with it in general and FLStudio seems to work pretty damned good in a limited tryout I've had.

I am only now gearing up for audio stuff. But............

one thing I am finding is whatever hardware I use I am getting dropouts from FOOBAR using W10. WTF!!??!?!?! Even MP3s are dropping out, and that's using an Audiolab M-DAC, the Realtek onboard digital or a FAIIO TAISHAN. Happens whether using FL ASIO or ASIO4ALL or the Windows mixer in DS.

This is doing my nut. Latency Mon etc say it's all good. But always these fing dropouts which are driving me mad. Games running through Win10 audio are fine. [What a clusterfuck W10 audio options are!!] Music keeps giving these little dropouts which are just significant enough to fuck the flow of music. And making me cross!!!!!

Hard to believe a way more powerful machine can't output an MP3 without dropouts.
