I find Bitwig very interesting, but I hate their business model, this upgrade-plan stuff is utter and complete bullshit. When you buy a daw like bitwig you never really have the feeling that "it's yours", it's worse than cubase 0 and 0.5 version junk because it's even more expensive lol.

FL Studio with livetime updates or even something like bandlab sonar will be the next most popular daws i think.

But the offer is really nice, I allways wanted to buy repro, and like I said, I really like bitwig, but we never will be friends because of the marketing .-.

From another perspective you don't need to upgrade every year if you don't want to.Bitwig in its current state is great & i'm using it since day one,the stock reverb is one of the best stock reverbs i've used in a Daw.
You could use Bitwig or Fl studio ,it doesn't matter & focus on your arrangements/music & what you love to create ,cheers !

I love Bitwig. It's really inviting, in terms of creativity, once you get a hold of it.

The only reason it's not my main DAW is because it doesn't have a comping system. As a singer/songwriter, this really disrupts my workflow.

Studio One comping system, on the other hand, is awesome.

yeah but you feel kinda forced to upgrade when you always get newsletters about the update ect. .-. But it's another proof that germany is still audio masterland harharhar

 

Bitwig have many things missing , maybe later when it will grow and right now I prefer to invest 300 euro in a hardware synth ...
