Why don't my installers write .vst or component files?

Hope this is in the right place, but I've had this problem (on this mac) for a while now.

    I downloaded R2Rs Omnisphere 2 torrent.

But when use the installer, no .vst or component files get written to my plug-in folder?

The weird thing is, it's happened before, with other cracks – and no one else seems to have the problem. I'm on Mojave. 10.14.6.

    Anyone?

I'm not a Mac user (anymore), but you should at least provide the version of MacOS to get help from other fellow Mac users.

If I can deduce it from the behaviour in Windows/Unix, I would say there are essentially 3 possibilities:
    - Virus scanner prevents writing to the directory
    - The user does not have the rights to write to the directory (did you try CHMOD 777 ?)
    - The OS prevents the executed program from making changes to the system (Catalina is a little tricky with k'ed progs)

My bad, edited op. On Mojave. Just changed the rights with CMOD777, not worked yet!

No virus scanner blocking access too. Any other guesses?
