Look, idk what the fuck most of you are on about, I just like this thread cuz I get to hate on NI; and you all know how much I'm on board with that :disco::disco::disco::disco::disco::disco::disco::chilling::chilling::chilling::chilling::chilling::phunk::phunk::phunk::break::break::break:

I guess we'll see how it goes for them, its not like the workstation/composer and keyboard space isnt full already? (buying a load of fatar keybeds and designing led light keyboards doesnt solidify NI in the market btw)

They grew to the company they are now from those VSTis you deprecate so easily, not from their maschine so what about straying from that? sure that's what watered down massive companies are for right?

Ok. Now I know, this must be the reason why I'm so bad in producing music. Its N.I.'s fault.:guru:
(The reason why my english is so bad, must have something to do with my teachers.)
But I really like to have one of those old audio-interfaces from them cause I dont like the new ones.

Watered down sure and I would love NI to go back to making great synths. However, this idea NI are going bust like claimed in the original post isn't true. Maschine and the keyboards have made NI a lot of money, whether you people like the products or not.

They've actually been trading since 1996.
So next year is their 25th anniversary.
I only know that because I have a copy of SoS in front of me from 2006 that wishes NI happy 10th birthday!
First product I got was B4 II, in '03, I think? Still love it.

By '03 I think I'd have rated EVB3 a little better than B4, but it was a close call and EVB3 was brand new in '03 along with EVD6

As a session keys player for 29 years, regards back then in '03, I totally disagree. Although EVB3 is nice. More so now.
The fact that B4 and B4 II are kind of modelled, via tones and harmonics and whatever, instead of sample based, is a key point.
Although the NI sample based Hammond I quite like. But only because it's NI's only option now!
B4 II was just so cpu friendly.

yeah they're founded 1996, i met them often on musicmesse. i also have hardwareboxes full of original Software back then. when i put these in a shelf i have a musicsoftwaremuseum. b4 is a beast and i dont understand why they canceled it. i use the sampled version now but i personally think the modeled one is better in sound and cpu usage than the kontakt version now.

It's not the quality of my music that I blame NI for, it's my failing eyesight - I'm a millennial and it only started after I used NI products regularly (not even joking).

  14. okay guys i just read the news about service center being turned off
really pissed me off as i needed to reinstal B4 II on osx mavericks.

The only possible solution i imagine might be to find where B4 authorization code is hidden in the mac so mabe, by copying it, i might get a chance not to use the service center

    what do you think ?
    any ideas ?

Young coders don't suck. I know many excellent ones.

Kontakt 6 lost the ability to read sample CDs... considering I have quite a few libraries on them.

totally agreed. most plugs these days are just almost the same. I got the same feeling about many synths - all got the same presets, same sounds, same functions etc.....

The least thing I like on Massive X is that the GUI shows slower than Massive.
It's modulation, filters efects sound quite good.

I am very disappointed from the Maschine hardware however.
Its pots (yes they are physical potentiometers NO encoders) wear out very fast,
first they get different resistance, then there will be parameter jumps until the submit random values.

People complaining about the poor quality all over the internet (and NI give a sh*t, fu ni), youtube and even in the NI Community forum.

And then we have the arrogance of NI to not sell spare parts, NO they want you to send the unit in to repair it. Hello? I know how to solder myself and don't need anyone else for this basic tasks, that only costs MONEY and TIME.

Ahh OK I am through with NI and hardware (funi) . Paying customer lost, I will never ever again pay any money to NI I rather use the cracked stuff if I really need to.

This wont happen that fast for somone who by hardware just to stare at it and dont really use it daily. But some people really use this stuff ya'know.

I wonder if Akai has better quality pots?,
anyone in here own a MPC X longer that 3 Years, are its encoder feel still all the same ?

beta test should be part of quality assurance and be a paid job.

how long do you have it , do the pots stillhave teh same resistance, how often do you turn them :>

just some related links, might be useful before infesting into cheap pots:
