Apologies in advance, if the answer to my problem is hidden somewhere, I searched very tourhoughly and tried with no avail:

Sister Site's Kontakt 5.6.6. Portable and 6.1 Portable both do not find some libraries (Library Not Found), despite the NICNT updated having been updated to the prescribed SPID, as well as updating librarieshelper.xml in the respective user data folder for Kontakt.

Specifically Best Service Elyision and Zero G Etherea are showing this behaviour, as opposed to e.g. Analog Dreams and many others that are working like a charm.

What I tried unsucccessfully:
- Tinkering with .nicnt (Elyision: W36)
- Updating Libraryhints.xml in (...)portable\userdata\servicecenter to reflect SPID (Elyision: W36)
- Run kontakt and/or librarymanager as admin.

Again, apologies in case this has been answered before, ever so more appreciate any guidance that could be given, am sure i am missing something.

 

I haven't tried portable versions, but for the other ones this is kind of the book:
Delete all the libs:

1. Delete all libs .xml files in:
%COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\Native Instruments\Service Center
You can copy/paste the former line in start menu or file explorer directly

2. Delete all libs registry entries for local machine (kind of general) using regedit:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments

3. Same for current user:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments

And now, add them again. Don't tinker with official SNPIDs, only with the ones home-made, be it by yourself or posted here.

Elysion need Kontakt Version 6.1.1 Min
Ethera 5.6.8
ckeck the self made library mode because Ethera is not a Native Access key. Kontakt will not see it in another way.

Making strides! Thank you! Was able to get Zero G running via the "self made library mode".

I updated Portable to 6.2.2 (fixed) and tried achieving the same thing for elyision.

Such was not successful, even though the manual import does result in an entry in my application with the elyision.nki, i am getting the error that the library is not installed. Thanks a lot in advance for your support!

As stated such works for Zero G, but with Elysion I am still stuck....

 

Elysion works with NI Kontakt and Free Kontakt Player Version 6.1.1 and higher.
you need newer version (your version 6.1 is not supported).

also, you must run kontakt portable standalone or your daw ONLY as admin in any case.

 

Thanks, did update to 6.2, though same result (as admin). Would kontakt player in parallel work and be a solution?

ok... how to install kontakt 6 portable and use libraries.
1. create new folder for kontakt portable where you want. BUT! DON'T x:\\use program files or x:\\users\user_name\appdata and other "system" folders. best variant - x:\\kontakt_portable or something like this. use only english alphabet letters, digits and symbols (- or _ or +). DON'T use regional alphabet letters and "space". check permissions for this folder (read/write for everyone).

2. run installer and install application in this folder.

3. run kontakt portable as admin, press button MANAGER, press button ADD, press BROWSE and choose folder with library you want to install.

4. close dialog (if need) and press SAVE in manager window.

5. close kontakt portable, run kontakt portable as admin again.

did you do everything like that?

 

Thank you! Want to make sure, so I am re-installing. Question, though: Portable does only install the vst's i.e. gives me only the vst folder to define as a target. Do you mean the vst folder as application folder? thanks!

the portable auto mode take Elysion directlly.
it look like you destroyed the .nicnt by tinkering. it dont need any editing. you should try with the original one.

I don't know where you download your portable and where you looking far standalone, but ALL portable versions I saw was with standalone application (Kontakt.exe file in My_Folder\Kontakt\x64\ or My_Folder\Kontakt\x86\).

did you disable antivirus before installation and adding library?

Yes, folder is set-up as described above and yes, antivirus has been turned off. The strange thing is, that I am having this problem for none of the NI Libraries, but for all of the BestService ones (e.g. Elyision)

 

do you have Elysion.nicnt file in the elysion library folder? if have open it with textedit.app and what symbols inside tag <SNPID></SNPID>
