I *want to agree with you on a ethical grounds (though, mentioning ethics on a pyrate site's sister forum will probably open an unwanted can of worms...,) but the truth is that it's more complicated than that.

First, I'm unsure what this means; I see R2R crack plenty of larger companies plugins...

This sounds nice, but as many other people have mention, larger companies sell plugins for more, and they usually produce a lot more plugins, but this is due to the fact that they employ more people. Sure, places like Klevgrand, Youlean, McDSP, and Voxengo, employ less people, but they also have less overhead. It's a pretty simple concept that a lot of people miss.

This again...? Guh.....

Basically, quoting R2R, it's an "alternate solution," and if you think about it that sense, a lot of arguments go out the proverbial window.
