how to open .nicnt on mac with catalina

    I always open the .ninct files with Terminal to discover the SNIPD code on the kontakt libraries.

    once I installed catalina can't do it.

    do you know a solution ?

    I just installed latest Kontakt release which also included Kontakt 5.app and imported the Libraries with Kontakt 5. I never had to fiddle around in SNIPD Codes on macOS…

    TextEdit! lol Never needed Terminal for that.

    Yeah, TextEdit (in simple text mode) serves pretty much enough for checking or modifying context of .nicnt.
    There are other code files that you might tweak some day, for example .plist files, in this case TextEdit would not help you, instead TextWrangler does. But it doesn't run on 10.13 and later. However it has a newer version with the name BBEdit that runs on Catalina. It's free.

    if you want read nicnt - textedit.
    if you want edit - use any hex editor instead text edotor. I prefer iHex (freeware).
