My birthday is the day before Independence Day and I like to think of it as the work that has to be put in beforehand. Democracy is not a destination but a journey so if you see something in the world that you don't like whether it be in yourself or anything external you CAN change it. How? It's easy...decide to. In fact the Latin root of the word decision means to cut off from all other possibilities. If I had one wish on this day it would be to rip the system and throw it away, then make a new one...one that actually works.
