I was poking fun of the fact that both plugins feature an animated anthropomorphic mascot. Not a criticism of the plugin itself; I haven't even tried it yet.

 

Strange, when Beatskillz sent me the download links, Malwarebytes says "website blocked due to trojan", when I tried to use the link.

 

I installed this mainly because the dog reminded me of my beloved pug that passed in 2015.
It seems to be a gain and distortion plugin.

 

Yeah it was clearly a good-willed joke for me. As a matter of fact I was going to say something like "best GUI ever since Sausage Fattener" myself

I feel you. I lost mine ages ago, in 2008. I'll never forget it, but the pain goes away and the joy stays.
Especially when you run into another dog of the same race anywhere. Cheer up
