The reason I ignored this thread last year was due to the misuse of the apostrophe in the thread title!

Youtube is the only place from where a poor guy can learn something. No money required. But it is not easy to know who is right or who is wrong. I normally don't have problem in getting if a youtube video is of good quality or not.
For example, I like Dan Worrall's videos and trust him the most. He shows proof in his videos. He is more informative than the big engineers like Dave Pensado who promotes every new plugin instead of providing the informative content.

 

It used to be awesome 4 to 5 years ago. Now it's just promo-vehicle for AVID and anybody else of the "industry standard" club.

 

Sure, but producing such broadcasts costs a lot of money. I have no problem if a show is financed by sponsors. As long as there is good content alongside product placement. And that is the case here.

Sonic Scoop. At first Justin Coletti seemed like a nice guy, and they arranged that mixcon stuff, but there are two problems, one that their content tends to be of extremely poor quality when it comes to knowledge/education, second that they started posting a lot of bullshit clickbait videos like "You HAVE to do this if you don't want to suck!" or "the SECRET MIXING TECHNIQUE that pros won't tell you about!" (featuring: the most elementary mixing techinque).

I blocked that humbug and I'm very glad for it. (and also the White Sea idiot)
