I installed my cracked to external but it doesnt work. I installed the plugin manager in my external and downloaded and installed the plugin in the same folder. Am I supposed to install a different way? On a Windows btw.

 

How you did to do the opposite ?
Which ones did you install first ?
With Plugin Manager ?

 

The red PA has replaced my UAD one on my mix bus and it was painful to do, but it gave me much tighter low end plus a few more options.
I'd suggest you demo it first.

 

It's about where you store the licence. The plugins are installed on the system as usual. After that follow the instructions in the video to store the licence on a usb stick but select "Offline" as the activation method and point to the licence.

Thats what I did, my license file for my cracked is stored on my desktop. The license file for my shadow hills is on my external hard drive. Theyre both on different drives but it doesnt work still?
Edit: I also tried storing the license on a usb, but still doesnt work. I cant run cracked and legit plugins side by side together for some reason.

 

Did you follow the steps to activate legit license on USB?

 

I found a smarter way to deal with it, you need to know your way with an hex editor though. The trick consists of renaming the license file's extension : rename pa.license into pk.license. once that's done, hexedit your plugins and search for pa.license then change it to pk.license, make sure you crawl the entire file and replace all instances. save, done. now both legit and cracked can live on the same hd and you don't have to fear authorization updates. your license file won't be overwritten. That's what i've done for mac but sure can work on win too.

That being said, with such deals and such quality tools. High Price can no longer be used as an excuse to not do the right thing and get the tools that your music benefits from. Like HW you would go and Pick THE one.

 

So you place the renamed licence in User > Aplicaion Support > Plugin Alliance and the chage the k'ed plugins and exchange the filename reference to the new one, right? Which file has to be edited? The one inside the "Mac" folder of the component/vst?

EDIT: couldn't find any mention of pa.licence nor licence in the plugin/exec on Mac

I opened the dll of the legit plugin in hxd and searched for the string 'pa.license' and 'license' and got no matching results

 

Me neither, on mac though ;)

 

My external hard drive doesnt show up in the dropdown where I have to select a device to activate.
nvm it just did :O

I was testing de Dangerous BAx EQ and is fine BUT i like more my Ac Coral2, souds more 3D and musical, then i was searching other eq and bOOM! i founded the TE-100, one more time, the Lindells, they are top nocht.
