Thanks for your answer. No I am not making a $30 000 modular wall unfortunately,I have not the room nor the cash...And I find modular setups not much productive,if I go modular I'll spend my time patching and I won't never make any track, since I'm already not fast at producing with classic synths.

I'm not fixed at all between the Neutron and the MS20 mini.

What kind of sound do you get when you turn the shape knob on the saw or triangle waveforms ? Does it modify something on these waveforms or is this knob here just for the classic square pulse width ?
Because for example on my Elektron Analog Four MK2 you can change the pulse width on all waveforms. Is it the same with the Neutron ?

Hi @Blue I was quite tempted by the Korg as well, but I have heard recently that the plastic cases are not wearing well and after a few years the jack plugs tend to pop out of the case when pulling a cable out of the matrix, hence the reason they have started making the full size model again. I presume they think the people that have bought a mini might trade up to the full size.

Also do you need keys on it, always handy but I use an Arturia Beatstep for my Neutron and it gives me a sequencer as well... The Korg is quite noisy, but the delay on the Neutron is almost unusable as it attenuates the signal so much. As with all things its a bit of a Hobson’s choice, but I'm quite pleased with the Neutron once I had got rid of the gawdy red front plate. Good luck in your deliberations.

What did you replace your gawdy red front plate with?
I'm looking at the Heinakroon colors 2.0 with all extras.
How are the overlays? Worth 30 E?

You can single out or combine 2 adjacent waveforms on each of the oscillators, up and down.
You can also modulate shapes on Osc's 1 & 2 and the LFO. I use S+H clock patched into all 3 shapes for that.
I've never heard of changing pulse width on saw or triangle waveforms.
I believe you're talking about waveshapes which is what the Neutron does with osc wave combos.
The Analog 4 is a beast but the Neuron is cheap and so ridiculously patchable.
No other entry level all in one for a modular wall seed at this price point.
Start small for the upcoming revolution!

    Thank you man,very informative.
The Elektron does have a pulse width for ALL waveforms. But this synth has DCOs,not VCOs.
The triangle waveform becomes a saw,the saw sounds like a...saw multisaw pwm...

I wonder why saw pwm hasn't been more often introduced in synthesizers. But it's another topic.

Yeah this sound is amazing!!!Sweet,wonderful...This guy is crazy,I love his channel!
This is typically the sound you can do only with modular.Or with crazy automations midi modulators maybe.

@Kluster its the Graydon Audio overlay, a little bit more expensive than the Heinakroon as polycarbon rather than synthetic paper and especially when the post office charged me tax and a handling fee after ordering it from the US, but I thought it would last longer. Also I have a Sub 37 on the other side of the room and it kind of matches.

    Thanks so much!!!
    Mindblowing!
A bit over my head but once a few people have done this and worked out the pros and cons I'll give it a go.
The implications will take time to sink into my brain...

It is very straightforwrd. I installed it in one of mine. Remember the one i mentioned I was having problems with? I installed this firmware and it is back to normal. In other words, it accomplished what none of Behringer's firmware was able to do.

I have a question that the custom firmware runs on it so far :) However, I have the problem that my Behringer on
MIDI CH 1 is that I was able to switch to CH 2 in the software. How do I do this with the custom firmware?

this is gonna sound really weird but there's a piece of paper that came with the neutron with some weird jibbrish on it and some drawings. i thought it was a comic book but it wasnt very entertaining and the drawings had 0% sex so i trew it out. i did save one of the drawings though Screenshot 2020-03-02 at 02.38.42.png

Thank you but I have to mention something in the original firmware that didn't work so I had to do it via the software but with the Midi CH 2 it worked now :)

    is there a K2 thread yet? :)
also got the crave, i have the luxury of owning a DC coupled interface so i can use them in a hybrid setting, but havent played around much with it yet unfortunately :/

we need more videos like that  also post your VCV and Reaktor patch ideas for a hybrid with neutron to not get off topic :D

Behringer Neutron App crashes the Neutron everytime i swap between Logic and the app? Anyone know why this is? It's really frustrating. Any ideas would be great.
Ive reinstall latest 2.02 firmware and i've reinstalled the 1.0.1 app a few times.

Ive just upgraded to Mohave. If that helps?

    Logic 10.5.1
    Macbook Pro MId 2015
    2.2 GHz Intel Core i7

    Thanks Guys
