I currently have MEGA Pro III account which gives me 16TB. It’s super handy to be able to store all of my sample libraries, projects, plugins, kontakt libraries as well as personal stuff all in one place.

However, I have now been unable to access my account for almost 2 months and keep getting bounced about by their support. I’ve provided them with logs, crash dumps etc, and still they are none the wiser. I cannot log in via any browser due to it crashing, and trying to open MEGAsync desktop app ends up with it letting me put in username and password, shows a “fetching file list” counter, and then one the green bar gets to 100%, the MEGAsync app vanishes from my system tray and disappears from Task Manager as if it’s crashing.

One thing MEGA keep saying is that it’s because I have too many files and too many encrypted items. However, they offer their Pro III account with 16TB of space and full encryption, with no mention of encryption or number of files being a problem. I have only used 8TB of my 16TB to date too, so it will probably only get worse!

Due to all this hassle, I’m now looking at whether there are any other comparable options out there at similar pricing. Any recommendations?

This is basically why you should never rely on cloud storage because you're totally dependent on them and these services don't last forever.

I would strongly suggest you setup your own cloud!
As in, get a Synology server or similar, you can get a 2 bay one for around $200, go for the business versions if you need faster access and you can afford it, then couple of large hard drives mirrored (very easy to setup the Synology) depending on your needs. Most of those boxes allow remote access, they can also backup to external providers.
