wow thanks man! that is really useful! nice find

    edit:
after looking through that chart and having a look through all the suggestions i think breverb is going to be the winner for me.
it was on the top of my list but the features made me think it was probably a higher CPU hog than some of the others, but clearly it is actually one of the lowest.
its not the lowest, but i already liked the look of it. unless it turns out to be absolute shit, which i doubt, then it will be my new sound design reverb.

thanks everybody for the help <3

Regarding Ambience and Breverb. IIRC, Ambience can mess up the phase like no other reverb and Breverb, at least in version 1, messed up the pan info.

Just use your DAW reverb you would be surprised on what you can do with alittle EQ after to shape the sound.

    nice work there!

and yeah, agree with you on the Lexicon front.... those are quite old (or came out at a time that...)..basically they were trying to milk the most money for their proprietary algorithms etc.... as they were quite expensive on release iirc, and were claiming 1:1 with hardware (outside of your interface etc...),....

Overloud plugins are surprisingly CPU friendly. Then they put a GUI that eats the RAM but it's remarkable their quality/CPU ratio

thanks for ther heads up. i will keep an ear out for that. if it causes me problems i will at least have my native reverb to fall back on until i replace it. i have so many options now i will surely find a replacement in 10 minutes :D

Nope, that's why I explicitly mentioned v1. But I'd be interested to know if this also goes for v2.

People has very different experiences with the Pro-R @tun - myself: I dont have this issue with super high cpu usage when I use the Pro-R. I think it´s based on the PC configurating :dunno::dunno:

Rematrix? For "creative effects and wacky sound design". Or rather, for ocd nitpickers, who can lose themselves in options when creating their own reverb presets/sounds. "Unprecedented bang for the buck", oh cpu cycles munching for the options, (wacky) sound possibilities and quality. Not intense fan of overloud, but this one - for numerous reasons, cpu consumption as just one - is capable of provoking smile while fiddling with it.

how would you describe the problem?
breverb2 is my go to for insert and group reverbs.
for sends i use impulse based reverbs, but breverb stands above other so called algorithmic reverbs because it is easy to dial in, eq section is well thought out and intuitive and the sound reminds of me expensive reverbs that cost top dollar.
so many other algorithmic reverbs sound boring and have a hard time blending in with the source.

i am not getting super high CPU from it, just average CPU. its not a problem, just that it uses way more than some of the other suggestions here.
breverb wipes the floor with it as far as CPU goes. i think if you measure on your computer you will see the same results.

that thing does look fun :)
surely its not low CPU??? i am going to try this thing out! thanks

    edit:
gave it a try and it is much higher CPU than a lot of others. its low CPU for what it does though, its a pretty fun reverb. i am keeping it regardless of CPU :) thanks for the link.
