    Hey quadcore64,What do you think of this one? HP Z620 Workstation 2X E5-2690 Eight Core 2.9Ghz 96GB 1TB SSD Q600 Win 10 Pre-Install (Renewed)
    https://www.amazon.com/HP-Z620-Work...+desktop&qid=1582826115&s=electronics&sr=1-23

Thx Man I feel like im finally Getting Somewhere..Although with the Dell Precision Series and The HP Z theres so many model numbers attached to the Series that puts a bit of confusion in the buying decision making process..Any Series model #'s of the Dell Precision or HP Z series you would Recommend or would the HP Z- #620 Workstation be a good choice? Thx Man..Rob

Seems like you have already decided buying a crappy pre-build. I'm out of here....

If you got your own power plant, top
    (2 * 135 Typical TDP: 270 W )
this "PC" will need an absurd amount of Power
Just the CPUs will need what a normal PC needs )
and got Old DDR3 (state of the art is DDR4)

But 13739* 2 on the benchmark which is quite nice (but because of dual CPU it will not be 27478 more like 22000 just because of the dual architecture it´s a bit complex )

and this guy seems to do it allright :

I like this a bit more just because even a total beginner here build the PC
    (with some advices)

    One thing you should consider

A PC itself makes some noises

and a Server or Workstations are heavy on the noise Level (most I know)

There are some Big differences on the things

Gaming = big GPU no need for that in a DAW-PC so poor choice here.

Workstaion = Most of the Time they are Loud. If you only do electronic music or Orchestral Stuff this can be ok. Or If you got the Place for using a second room just for the Workstation and another for Recording stuff with Mics this will work too.
But for a bedroom producer with only one room this can kill your recordings with a lot of PC/White Noise.

Server= Same as the Workstation but with bigger Problems on the Software and Hardware compability (for a simple example Servers uses SAS instead of SATA which requires special SAS HDD´s or adapters ) (SATA to SAS Yes, SAS to SATA no )
They are really loud normally you don't understand your own Words nearby a Server.
And they need lots of Power which is another down point.

Costume DAW- PC - That’s the Best, as Quite as possible (which requires low TDP CPU,GPU, passive cooling if possible and without an HDD or if HDD with 5400bpm (better is a SSD, but they expensive ) )

not to mention, the cpus are from 2012.

and i agree that the problem with a workstation like that or a server is that it will be quite noisy. not ideal for music production.

What country are you in? Depending where you live, you may be limited for choice!
You can also check out Scan's website for ideas if you are in the UK or Europe:
    https://www.scan.co.uk/shop/music-and-pro-audio/pre-built-systems/scan-pro-audio-workstations

You can save money if you do it yourself, or pay a local IT guy to put it together for you, else, if you have the money and want to buy something ready made with warranty, then go for companies that know what they're doing and specialise in audio production PC's!

I would recommend you do it yourself, it's really not that hard, plenty of YouTube videos of almost anything if you ever get stuck, and it's a good skill to gain long term.

The Amazon 'Refurbs' tend to be over-priced because two parties need to get paid instead of one. The price for that system should be around $700 U.S. max.

    Search from Newegg:
    https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=HP Z620&Order=PRICE

There are systems out there with up to 1 year warranty & more modern specs for that price.

Whether buying new or used, a slow approach is best.

You want a system with 6 to 8 cores @ 3.4GHz base clock minimum (i9, Xeon or AMD Ryzen 2000/3000).
Threadripper 1 & 2 are not what you want.

    Xeon examples:
    E5-1650 V3 or V4
    E5-1660 V3
    E5 1680
    E5-2667 V3 or V4

If you are patient, I will try to put together some examples when I get a chance.

In the meantime, check Dell, HP & Lenovo for deals on new & refurbs.

Prebuild Prebuild :winker:(the stuff I would Change but + It will come without building it on your own )
    http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1M45VD (that’s the stuff I would change)

Change the SSD with the 480GB WD Green SATA-III 6.0Gb/s SSD (Single Drive) (deal 120gb upgrade to 480 )
Add the free 3 TB (Time limited offer)
    Add 16 GB Ram
    Upgrade the mobo to X570
Price is right for $943 (If you Install windows your self with a Win 10 Key it´s $100 off )
Downside the Graficcard is to big for a DAW-PC
but still the best prebuild system I could find for Music making

If you really like the HP Z620, here is a better option for that from Newegg with shipping:

Stay away from the Cyberpower pre-builds. Trust me on this one.

Rather than respond to all just added this edit:

    I just saw this for 10$ more there is a AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6GHz [4.4GHz Turbo] 8 Cores/ 16 Threads 36MB Cache 65W Processor
which gives nearly 20% more power
    totaly worth it

I'm not from the USA (so I don't know the Company),
but they are the only ones with costume PCs without stupidly high prices .

    https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.cyberpowerpc.com
(they got 4,6 of 5 but, there some bad rating as well)

    Ok that’s sad
(I read some reviews of the company seems to be lottery with them :woot:
but like I wrote before most of the companies I saw took 200-300$ too much for the same(or nearly the same) build)
(With nearly 30 companies I tried this Build to replicate ) :deep_facepalm:

quadcore64 said to stay awy From CPPC..Anyway,Im From The USA and Yea,I Just Checked There BBB..A Lot Of Technical Issues Complaints.
    Also from https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.cyberpowerpc.com..

    ---->3 days ago...This company is a joke
This company is a joke. In October I purchased a PC for my new business. Upon setting up the computer I discovered that my front USB ports do not work. I order a replacement part and when it arrived, discovered that it was not an issue with that part, but an issue with the motherboard. I contacted the company who stated that they would not replace the computer but I could send the computer back and they would fix in 4-6 weeks. When I stated that I could not do that because I cannot work without a computer they said it wasn't their problem. After a huge argument they begrudgingly sent me a shipping label. I then asked if I could wait until mid April to return the computer as I will be out of town. They stated that the shipping label expires at the end of February and that if it does expire they will not "extend me the curtsy" of replacing it. They sent me a broken computer and will literally do nothing to help me. I have never seen such poor customer care. I will never buy from this company again and tell let everyone I know to shop elsewhere. Save your money and time, shop somewhere else..

Hey Polomo,You Didnt Know..Sometime I Dont Realy Trust My Own Judgment..Its Been a Long Time Since I Bought a New Computer So Im Realy Here To Get Some Guidance.Your Just trying to help and I really appreciate you for doing so.. But ulimenly it's my choice with the Risk that goes along with it..

    Totally understand that
Where I come from I know my Bad Apples (there are some)
But If I search for someone else in a different country I have to trust my Browser-Plugins (One is Trustpilot)
And If is below 3 I would never recommend it.
