I'm sure that you meant to say "hither", as in, "Hither from this point forward...".

A substitute teacher for my 6th grade class years ago handed out a math test to the class that consisted of two pages of very simple mathematical equations to solve, and 15 of the 16 students busily went ahead to finish this much too simple assignment thinking that a 100% grade would be the end result. One of the kids looked at the test and put it face down and folded her hands in front of her. As it turned out, she was the only one to have read the directions, which in this case stated to do just exactly as she had done. Alisa went on to become the valedictorian of our high school class.
