This situation is really sad after 3 years but can't handle Analog Obsession as a company, anymore.

You can download all plugins for free. And if you want, you can still support Analog Obsession with 5$ / Monthly. You can break support any time you want.

I will still develop plugins and they will be donation-ware (Think like Patreon).

I knew this would happen. Their quality of plugins are getting better, but they should be released for free like SmackLabs, Airwindows, delamancha, KBrown, kx77free, madbee, Thomas Mundt's LoudMax, Signal Noise Sender Spike etc. And also all flowstone/synthedit stuff should all free (SuperWave! This message for you).

 

damn that's really hard. guess he made a lot of sacrifices to make for that project and had high hopes.

Now that they are free, I wish they had made the plugins open source so people can contribute to the development.

ANALOG OBSESSION has: no imprint on the site, no secure payment badge, no proper about page with details about where his business is located, a youtube channel with 14 clips, without any commentary or a face attached to it.

Nobody with any sense for data security would transfer money to it. No wonder he can't generate any revenue out of his for the most part underwhelming plugins with a lot of bugs and weird behaviors as users report.

AO is a prime example of how to not to run a plugin business.

These are great for transients and saturation, definitely used in a chain when I use them for specific stuff.

Doesn't he still sell the All You Can EAt Bundle? Still a great value but he does have a buttload of stuff for free though. I like his outside the box sample rates.

Lets not compare his way of doing business and the way he conducts himself on forums with the plugins themselves.
Anyone with decent ears will admit he has at least a couple of really good plugins.
But of course the nature of people is to bully and to talk a lot of hogwash.

I am just pointing out the main issues why his business is not taking off and why people are not willing to support it monetarily.

All plugins without rust on their GUIs should be free. There's just not enough rust!

I checked out 2 of his plugins so far.

BritChannel: nice Neve channel emulation. Round bass and silky highs. I think if you don't own a commercial neve type plugi, it's definitely a sweet alternative.

SSQ: Poor attempt of creating a SSL 4000 channel EQ. It doesn't grab right, the curves don't feel right, it sounds bad and it doesn't even display the the selected frequency. Real whacky.

It's like night and day with these 2 plugs... I'm curious about how the rest will sound.
