Since we last tuned in our hero Edward Snowden was in a safe house in Hong Kong with the terrorist organization aka the United States government closing in quick. They had finally filed charges against him and it looked like things were going to escalate. There was also an offer from a representative of Wikileaks that stated he had a plane fueled and ready to go to fly Edward to a safer location. Edward ended up getting the fuck out of there on a flight to Russia which left American authorities baffled. Hong Kong issued a statement that the extradition request did not comply with Hong Kong law and so they had no reason to detain him. On a side note though the US does have an extradition treaty with Hong Kong it would have taken months if not years to see this thing through. Russia is now also not being compliant with requests for extradition even amidst stern warnings from the United States. He was supposed to fly out this morning on a plane to Cuba but being intelligent he skipped that flight probably because he came to the realization that they would have had to pass through US airspace and it would be all too easy for the plane to be stopped midflight. How is he a traitor exactly? Is it the exposing of the top secret illegal and unconstitutional surveillance of the whole planet or what exactly? It boggles my mind when people can read about the Patriot Act, NDAA, secret unlawful spying, IRS scandals and all the other ridiculous miscarriages of justice going on and still continue to be so blind. It's completely asinine to think that Edward has to follow rules when the United States government doesn't even hold to the Constitution anymore. I mean where have you been the last decade, do you read the newspapers? And I hope you're not talking about me spamming.

I think that knowing what's going on is important (particularly this case) but besides that it has to do with privacy and security which has to do with file-sharing. I am a member of many other forums that have nothing to do with politics yet people post these kinds of stories all the time since they concern everyone. If you really think about it music and politics are quite intertwined. However I am nothing if not fair so if enough people feel that this is unimportant and would like me to stop posting news then please let me know and I can save myself a ton of time. Personally I think it's cool that you can come to AudioSex to learn, listen to music, check out software news, find out about world events, promote your business or even talk about whatever is on your mind. That's what makes this place special.

 

i think the fact most of us have found this forum through its sister site, all of this type of news directly affects us...

That was all part of a plan to bring US citizens to cry out for revenge and go to war.
