I'm curious, guys, where do you find the singers for your projects?
As for me, I try to do it on www.gumtree.com or www.joinmyband.co.uk, before I used www.starnow.com and www.exploretalent.com, but cancelled both due their inappropriate service...
What about another online platforms that could help?

 

I tried forums, but that options is out of question because forums are more underground and slow, i tried reddit in category looking for vocals i even tried soundcloud and found some talented singers who wanted to sing for free, facebook try everything but it's hard you need money nobody wants for free, it's business after all!

exactly, what option is for search on soundcloud: just to eneter search criteria into their window or join some groups, first?

true, but let's see another side of a medal too: recently this year one person won Grammy as a singer,
and her brother won Grammy too...as a producer, who produced her...

but, heck, does every wannabe singer have such a talented brother-producer? Sure, not! So, any up and coming singer critically needs
a producer, but producer's service costs some money too, right?
Then, collaboration is a tool for both, when nobody charge for their job!
2PS. As for singer for hire, there is no problem with it.

You can also find singers on platforms like AirGigs, SoundBetter, Vocalizr, BandMix, and Vampr, which connect producers with vocalists and musicians for collaborations.

 

Ask random people living on the street and maybe you'll get lucky. Robert Plant was homeless and then met Jimmy Page...the rest is history.

 

You can find a lot of professional singers @ LinkedIn - there you can also specify the genre and the localization...most of them offer a website with further information...

But if you're looking for amateur singers - maybe try it at your local music school!?
