I'm not a Mac user, but thought everyone should know what's cooking from Apple & Steinberg:

It sounds to me more like:
"Sorry but Apple breaks your pirated content"
than
"Steinberg is mean and you can not use that fancy stuff anymore".

Edit:
Does "We have been able to reproduce the issue with illegal cracked versions" mean that Steinberg people pirate stuff?

 

There's nothing cooking. The plugins causing the crash weren't cracked properly. It's funny they would go and contact Steinberg about an issue they're having with some cracked plugins though.

Nothing new, macs have sucked for awhile anyway, since they put all their effort on fancy mobile crap for kids. Agree with @dbmuzik you have to be an idiot to send your crash reports with cracked plugins installed, it´s almost like going to police station to take drugs

 

Why would you spend 3x the $ on a computer/operating system that spies on you?

 

Not to take drugs, but to complain about it

 

FWIW: Running latest version of Cubase Pro 10.5 (OSX Catalina 10.15.3) and i have totally no issues with crkd plugins in Cubase.
They aren't blacklisted or whatsoever.

 

I don't update/upgrade ,very easy..

 

Glad to hear that, mate! I was just pointing out to large number of Mac users reporting blacklisted plugins, and it appears Steinberg marks them as cracked.

Knowing their tight protection policy and relationship with Apple, I thought people should know possible problems they may encounter

 

No more cracked plugins on OSX/Cubase ... and no less, if cracked properly.
