Can anyone shed a little light for me to help me understand why my "Plugin Alliance - Brainworx bx_digital V3 plugin" has no top toolbar showing, the toolbar from what I've seen in vids should have 'save presets options', and 'bypass', 'compare', etc buttons showing.

Have I downloaded and demo version ?? It seemed to start unlocked, but no preset toolbar... I used the R2R kg regardless but still no show. Am I missing something? My DAW does save all the plugin settings so no so bad actually - I intend to buy after trying it out, just a bit disappointed I can't save out presets.
    Thanks for any info

Only the arrows, A, B, C, ... belong to the plugin. The bar above belongs to the DAW, but it should be there for all DAWs even if it looks differently. Does your DAW have an option to switch it off?

Thank you both for the reply, that clears it up - I should try pro-tools maybe sometime. I kinda got used to Ableton.
I did have a look around the prefs but didnt see any sign of the option to switch said toolbar on/off - guess it may not be in Ableton. Thanks again, really appreciate that as it was bugging me a bit. Just for ref: here's a pic of what is displayed.

yes the plugin alliance preset-saving sucks big time, you have to use the daw's built-in method

To use presets for Plugin Alliance stuff in Ableton you have to click the drop down by "default" on the plugin.

Ahh great stuff thanks - I see. Just need to load em (after saving out) and they stick to the 'init' numbered presets once loaded in. Thanks again for the help.

Brainworx SSL 4000 E console is worth it for $25 on sale with a voucher.

For $25, ok, but on their homepage it's listed with $349 and that's a completely different story. So it depends heavily on the price tag at PA.

More successful records have been recorded and/or mixed on SSL 4000 desks than any other console, and the margin is not even close

Yes, I've heard this. and I agree on mostly what they say. It's very clean which is very good. But the characteristic is either very...tight or everything is out of control which is why it is said that its designed to drive it extreme. And I do not like tight (anymore). Therefore, I very much prefer trident or those waves abbey road emulations for example. It's exactly the opposite of the ssl.
