Like the previous comment I agree that this simple melody needs a stronger orchestration. I like the earcandy. For example the sonar sound. Keeps you interested. Instruments could be a bit more balanced against eachother but that could also be my crapy laptopspeakers ;)

Agree with above. Make it more interesting to listen to. The HHs are really irritating me. Why not do something with that, even a phaser effect would sound more interesting. I tyhink you need to rethink this track: at the moment the music is very laid back but with dancy beats... that's what's making it sound a bit strange. Decide what reaction you want from your listener and build something to make them react that way. Relaxed or moving to the beat, not both, it's not working.

 

I'd put a high pass filter on the claps to reduce the lower midrange and also a bit more treble on the HiHats combined with a little decrease in level.
The HiHats aren't typical but I don't find them irritating, just different.
I would add another track with slightly different string chords, there's enough room for it.

Much appreciated this feedback as well! I'll work again on the overall balance of the elements and I'll try another string chord as you suggested!

 

The part I like the most in your track is from 6:00 onwards. I like that piano/chord structure and to hear it with space to breathe (rather than the lead synth line hiding it). Personally I'd introduce the listener to the track with that end part as the current intro is a little wishy-washy.
