    Any suggestions?
Surge EQ boosts really well. To be honest it cuts good as well.
Talking about boosting without the sound getting harsh very fast?

    Algo, Acqua, Nebula, anything.

I like maag, but its very soft colored type of highs, not suited for many things.

Yes acustica's green and surge are both "sampled" from gml 8200 eq, got both and think surge's little better but acqua has faster workflow, my 2cents.

What he said. As far as boosting highs without getting harshness there isn't a single algo plugin that does it as good as Acustica/Nebula stuff. And I've tried a ton. As mentioned, Maag and Lindell TE-100 are good though.

maag, kush clariphonic, bx_digital, MDEW for UAD (there is a native RTAS version for PT also) and yeah fabfilter tbh does a great job in every scenario too
you can try the t-racks master eq 432 the boosts are definetly not harsh but its more of a fine adjustment mastering tool as the name says

I don't know about these kind of EQ use.
What do you guys think about DMG and CraveEQ (this one considering is pretty light on resources).

For me Crave Eq has replaced DMG and Fabfilter, it has a nice analog algo and some smart non-phase and linear phase also, just simple and easy like fabfilter but with the DMG sound,

DMG equilibrium? the filters may sound good but the GUI is so meh in comparison to fabfilter so i never use it, i havent heard of craveEQ before but the phase transparency thing sounds really interesting
