Had a shit load of problems repairing disk issues and reinstalling mojave in recovery mode. But after probably 10 tries, it finally worked. But I think i fucked up by creating another volume. Dont ask me why i did it because i have no answer.Pretty sure im missing files and almost everything is not in the places that it should be. Im also getting all kinds of weird error messages which i have no idea what they mean. I had about 750gigs on my internal SSD and now i have like 8 gigs remaining of the 1TB. Would this problem easily be solved if i deleted the newly made volume? I just want everything back to normal before i had the initial disk issues. I have Disk Drill 3. Do they have any kind of feature where they can just magically restore me back to a certain point? I know you guys have the answers, and i know you will feel amazing after you help someone out who is basically clueless......

 

Hardly. The novelty wears off after umpteen non-thanks.

 

Why don't you buy a new drive, SSD or HDD (up to you and your pocket) Install a new clean Os, then use your recovery partition, and your main drive to recover your programs and data?

 

you should just be able to install OSX on top of the original installation without losing any data (though i would backup before trying just in case)
