I know this forum is affiliated with audioz - so I apologise for mentioning an alternative website; but does anybody know what happened to them? They were one of the rare sites that didn't just copy everything from audioz and sometimes posted really obscure stuff that I couldn't find anywhere else. I haven't visited the site in a few months and suddenly today the website is no longer active and it says there is no DNS associated with the site. Would be interesting if anybody had any news. Would be a shame if its down forever.

Do you know for definite? And do you have any idea why? The owner(s) were pretty good at updating people about any problems on twitter. Now it's just silence. Maybe they got some legal warning.

Yeah I saw that but I’m sure I visited since then. Anyway it’s a shame if it’s gone forever, it was a small but good community. They had a lot of ‘collections’, kind of like forum threads, where people could just upload content from a specific sample pack company. Plus they used alternative hosting providers; not just the main ones like UP or RG.

 

what things couldnt you find anywhere else?
care to share them on AZ?

 

I'm just a hoarder of drum sample packs and they had some sample packs that were not available anywhere else. I will have a look and see what I can find

 

If you're ever facing any trouble don't just suddenly disappear haha you know, maybe set up a Patreon account or some crowdfunding page. Set up a legit website like "SAiNT's music blog" and just link it to that - then everything will be official.

 

Unfortunately the website was no longer supported by the administrator due to lacking money and people's lack of interest.
But good news: The main supplier is still alive and still does stock the entire stuff. He's currently working on a new website using a similar structure. Having done that and having found a way to host it anonymously, AudioK will reappear over time.
